Second, were those last 2 calls really warranted? Giving a team 5 fts in 8 seconds, the last 2 with .1 second left, seems pretty extreme.

I watch the games off the internet. It usually means "not Altitude" and I enjoy hearing the other team's announcers. They give a very different perspective - usually.

No problem on offense - except a little cold in the 2nd quarter.
No defense was a problem! Bertans was 9-11 from three and took no two pointers. All by himself, he equaled our bench in scoring and was tied with Murray and outscored Jokic. That should NEVER happen.

Box score says the two teams were even (that shouldn't have happened). Giving up 46 points in the 2nd quarter was just plain wrong: lazy, loafing, no hustle.

those were both pretty obvious fouls, it is hard to complain about them too much. Although there were 3 or 4 bad calls sending Bertrans to the line and another 3 or so for Beal as well. The refs were terrible and it was a 1 sided terrible.

Jokic was a very bad in this game ever since Robin Lopez took over to guard him . Denver was still plus five when Jokic checked in in the second quarter, then he tried to play bully ball against Lopez and he lost 3,4 positions in the row and Washington completely took over the game from that point , whole momentum shifted to their advantage and Denver was playing catch up rest of the game . Jokic can be very stubborn when some players shut his back to the basket game , then he makes bunch of blunders in series instead of adjusting his game, he could have taken jump shots, three point attempts , try to score off the pick and roll action, to attack differently when he struggles with post ups.

I wish all of our players had such bad games where they score 33 points with 7 rebounds and 9 assists. Playing 37 minutes, you have to expect some slow minutes in there. Lopez isn't really much of a problem for Jokic.

I saw that sequence you mentioned, but when Jokic has to carry the team for much of the game; there are going to be times where the other team focuses on him and throws fresh bodies at him. We basically had four scorers in this game and that was the problem. Jokic & Murray were scoring just fine. Porter & Campazzo were scoring okay, but past those four guys, we only had 32 points. However even that wasn't where the game was lost.

This game was lost because Washington scored 130 points and Lopez only had 9 of those, so he wasn't dominating Jokic. Washington had two forwards scoring with Bertans 9-11 from three - that was a killer.

Denver took just 18 free throws to Washington's 34. Blame the refs if you want, some will, but Washington was hustling and Denver wasn't.

Well, every of his posts are personal attacks. I was commenting what I saw in the game and it had happened that way, since Robin Lopez shut his back to the basket game he didn't play that well, its like he gets mad and he wants to go at the player that shuts him down, it was the same against Ayton in two games earlier, and he could attack them differently , for a player who has high basketball iq , you can just wonder why???

Your memory isn't bad - I'm not sure I could have come that close to that time/sequence. But I was just watching the game again and paid close attention to those 6.5 minutes when Jokic & Lopez were both on the court. Jokic didn't score too well but I'd say he only tried three low post moves. Here's the sequence of shots/possessions:

Jokic - low post
Porter
Jokic - top key
Jokic - low post
Porter
Jokic - Turn over
Jokic - low post
Murray
Harris
Green
Jokic - mid lane
Murray
Porter
Murray

and during those 6.5 minutes, the Nuggets went from +6 to +2
The huge run was before Jokic came in for the second quarter (he was sitting for the first four minutes).
Washington outscored Denver by 8 points in the last 90 seconds (after Lopez sat down).

So I don't see this as a huge Jokic issue. I also didn't see him carrying the team, but he does a lot of that. He needed help during this quarter.

I didn't watch 3 quarters of the game, but saw how we ended - can't comment on Jokic vs Lopez.

But Murray's final minutes looked like that guy from the playoffs... keep your fingers crossed
no comment on the game ending on FTs either
