Dunn for the TPE
Reddish for 26th pick, Bol, Cancar
Dunn could fill minutes during the season while Murray is healing. I think Reddish could thrive here as the 6th/7th guy. I’d still sign Barton and Green (and probably Rivers), and then use the MLE for a better backup C.
(Murray)/Morris/Dunn/Facu
Barton/Dozier/Rivers
MPJ/Reddish
Gordon/Green/Nnaji
Jokic/(MLE)
Don’t know if the salary relief is enough to entice Atlanta, but just kinda wishful thinking of a move I’d make if we were to go the route of trying to get Reddish.
That is terrible for the Nuggets. Late lotto picks traded for a pick and cap space usually bring back a late 1st or early 2nd 2 years after they are drafted and have struggled in those 2 year. While Reddish has always gotten a lot of hype he has a long way to go to be a quality player in this league. We can afford to take the risk putting him at backup SF since our depth is so bad, the Hawks know they have no room to develop him.
I would not trade Cancar or Bol straight up for Dunn, and only take Dunn with 2 2nd round picks as incentive. The guy is overrated as a defender, straight terrible on offense, and misses more games than Gary Harris. Why would we want to take him back? He is not a Murray replacement, he is a Harrison replacement who we can bring back on a 2 way deal.
