Since we have two MODest posters who want to be the most hated, I would like this offer to become the most innovative poster.

DEN trades Harris, Barton, Campozzo, 2021 1st and 2025 1st , 2023 2nd

LAC trades Leonard and Jay Scrubbs

Why for DEN, we get the best player in Scr...er, Kawhi who fills our defensive F need and brings us our 1st Chip

Why for LAC, they hate the Lakers enough, reloads some future assets and...oh who am I fooling, this is just as likely as most of The Jokers trades, so all in good fun

What do you guys think about getting Nerlens Noel?

On offense he would be like Faried providing vertical spacing and finishing. On D he would bring us much needed rim protection and help defense. If some of our young guys develop to be better than him he can still get minutes as the backup 4/5 and some staggered minutes with the starters similar to what Plumlee was getting.
He is still young enough to be on the team in the future and should not cost as much as some more recognized names out there.

Is he just a rental? I wouldn't mind him as a third center - just in case of injury or a playing a team with major bigs. But I don't see him as a good fit with Jokic. I just doubt he'd get much playing time.

If BOS offer is true, I just ORL will accept that. According to the reports BOS is offering TT + Langford + 2FRP (protection to be determined) for Gordon and Fournier.

They need to find a trade partner willing to take TT´s 10M guaranteed next season (Toronto?) and dump Grant Williams somewhere.

If this is the case, BOS simply outbid us. It makes no sense to pay 2FRP for Aaron Gordon.

Or it could just be them driving up the price for Gordon so they can get some sale price on Vucevic deal

They would've signed him in November if they were interested, doubt it

Boston needs a center who can score , I don't get why would they go for Gordon, Vucevic makes a lot of more sense for them.

The Nuggets have spoken with the Magic about trading for Terrence Ross, per source.

I would give them Barton, Harris, Bol and picks for Ross and Gordon.
Play Morris, Murray, Gordon, MPJ, Jokic and play Ross as 6th man. Keep developing Nnaji so he can replace Gordon if he asks for too much and draft someone to replace Nnaji on the bench or go for vet if you are still contender in 2 years

Maybe I am the only one that sees it but Ainge does not value the Center or PG positions. Ainge has spent the last decade trying to rebuild the same way he built his title team. He wants dominate SG/SF/PF with a solid pass 1st PG and a defensive C. He even hired a coach that does not believe in the usefulness of a C. While everybody around the league thinks he needs a C, he thinks he needs an upgrade at SF so Tatum can play PF and Brown can play SG.

I see a lot of local guys pushing Lonzo Ball and Aaron Gordon, sounds like we may get both and the Nuggets have the local guys hyping them up to get fan buy in. Personally we have to do something, but we need to keep MPJ, Murray, Jokic and I prefer to keep Nnaji and Hampton. I don't think those 2 guys move the needle enough to throw away our future.

I don´t think we are landing Lonzo AND Gordon. There is simply not enough cap for 2 max deals + MPJ (close to that) and Lonzo Gordon 18-20M per year (and Monte) without cheap rookie contracts. Nevertheless, one of them would be a good acquisition.

I would not pay a first round pick to dump Harris right now. He will be incredible more valuable at draft night as a 20M expiring and could be included in any major deal.

Barton, Millsap and Bol Bol together with 2021 pick are our assets. I think it is possible to land a starter and a capable defender, but any trade has to be done. Current roster is a first round exit

Do we get Lonzo bird rights in trade? We can always do S&T I guess if we dont want to pay him, and we can go over the tax for MPJ, or we can just work on getting Nnaji into the Gordon role and let him go when he expires, or, again, S&T

I would say, we get more for Lonzo/Gordon S&T then Barton S&T

Yes, Lonzo comes with his Bird rights and the ability to match any offer. He is expected to get 70M - 80M offers in the offseason.

Barton must be traded this week. Not only for basketball reasons, but also because if he opts out, his 14M slot will be lost because we are over the cap (MLE could compensate partially that, but not enough for a starter)

Personally, comparing Nnaji to Gordon at the same age, I'd take Nnaji EVERY TIME. I think Nnaji is going to be a better player than Gordon will ever be. He's young but shows poise, better 3pt %, and is paid a LOT less, we have him under financial control for a lot longer than Gordon. What has Gordon ever done since being the 4th overall pick, the Magic has only been over .500 ONCE. Now ORL isn't the best run franchise, but he hasn't been more than a stat-padder IMO. Nnaji seems to have a great work ethic, already has shown a nice shooting touch, and has a decent post game. The one thing Gordon has over Nnaji, IMO, is experience.

Thats why I would do it even if we dont want to keep him, better to get Randy Foye again then to lose Barton for nothing tbh

And I love how TOR fans are trying to push Powell on to the Nuggets for a prememium. The guy is just waiting to bolt into free agency to get paid, don't we already have our own Barton to handle that ?? They look like they're just looking to cash in on a player they aren't going to pay and get nothing when he bolts in free agency.

I would rather get Ross to be honest, he looks to me lik upgraded Barton for what we need. Imagine all those cuts if we could get him and Gordon, Jokic would get 20apg

I'd be thrilled to get Ross, he's versatile, can score a bit, can accept a role and he's under a reasonable contract. A decent defender who'd fit in well replacing Will Barton IMO.

Siakam and Nurse got into it to the point Siakam got fined today, if the cost is the same I would rather have him than Gordon.

Return to Denver Nuggets
