Speculation on Love from Berger, It would be hard to put a package together without Gallinari and Lawson, but I would love to see him on the court with those 2 and a defensive shotblocking center.

Looks like it originally came from a TWolves beat reporter, don't know how valuable the guy's info is, but he is saying there was some back and forth.

As much as I like love and that he is one of the best players in the nba I don't think I would want denver to trade for him, especially after iggy. Love can opt out after next season. He has already shown interest in playing for the Knicks and I don't really want to trade away young players for a another rental.

I doubt Love goes to the Knicks, that is reportedly the Knicks plan, but I have yet to hear anything that could be coming from Love. If anything I could see Love heading to LA.
I also understand not wanting to go after Love after the Iggy mess, however there are a couple of key differences. If you could pull off the deal now you would have a full year to figure out how he fits and his long term plan. Also after the way he has been treated in Minny, he may love the way the Nuggets franchise reportedly treats most of their players. People forget that the Twolves refused to give him 5 years and a max deal, and he has had problems with multiple teammates throughout the years.
If you can get Love cheap enough, such as the Knicks pick this year, the 2016 pick with the swap option, and a couple of players not Gallo or Lawson, I would take the chance. Let this year play out, than next year see how he feels about now next year and trade him for picks if he wants out regardless.

Oh yeah. I would do that, but wouldn't trade guys like lawson, gallo, and maybe faried. They will only get better and Wouldn't won't to face them 4 times a year.

I would trade Faried, I really like Faried, but he is a year away from a big paycheck, and I just do not see enough growth from him to take him off the table in a deal where you can get a good all star player.

It would take more than that, I am thinking the pick, Faried, Chandler, Hamilton, A, Miller for Love and a small bad contract, although I think it would take at least the 2016 1st with the swap option on the Knicks pick, and even that may not get it done.

Hello nuggets fans, bulls fan here. Big Fournier fan, was curious as to if you guys think the nuggets would be open to trading him and if so what you'd be looking for? Anything on the Bulls interest you?

I doubt the Nuggets are the slightest bit interested, fans are high on him, but rumors have been out there that the front office and coaches are even higher on him than most of us are.

Good to know, I'll drop all dreams of Fournier to the Bulls.

You know many of us were tantalized by JR's physical skills, and questioned Karl's handling of the kid, and even thought he was on his way to maturing after his stint in jail, but since his meltdown in the playoffs last year he has become worse than he ever was in Denver. I don't know if I am more sad to see him waste all that talent, or annoyed that this jackass has all the talent in the world and could care less about his career as long as he is getting paid.

With JR I think it's the women. Too much control over his head. He needs to man up and realize partying isn't the first priority in life.
God...with all those Love scenarios I just see us turning into the same thing the Wolves are right now. You got Love, but then now we're remaking the rest of the roster. I say Ty is untouchable given how dedicated he is and you keep it simple trade PFs for PFs and the pick. The pick being the teaser.
Completely unrelated, have we explored the Chandler at SG thing yet?
Lawson/Chandler/Gallinari/Faried/Mozgov-McGee
Does Chandler have enough speed to cover the faster sgs?

Re: OT: Daily Thoughts
I guess that's pretty much a theme with me and proposed trades: does what we give up basically relinquish any chemistry and momentum we've built up.....does it revert back to pre-Melo mediocrity?
I'd just like to ride out this mojo wave as long as possible so long as we can still make smaller trades and improve.
Yes, we do need to leap into the unknown when we rebuild a team, and yes we need to have faith but that was a long-ass road this team has walked down to get to the status it holds today. Long-ass road. Instantly better does not always mean makes it to playoffs.
This currently built team not only had youth and talent: it had a mission to best the players they were traded for and fulfill crazy expectations. The players that left for the Knicks were at an elite level in the sense of consecutive playoff 'visits' and always getting 48+ wins each of those times.
Players that replace these players currently on the roster will not have that same mission to better who they replace. The ones on this roster almost NEED to accomplish something before the trade desk goes wild.
You see JR......he had pretty good success when on that confidence train in Denver. Even Karl himself enjoyed greater success as a coach than he would have had with Milwaukee.
It's a certain unsaid thing.....but mojo can build up due to a number of unrepeatable circumstances, and it can die thinking it's just automatic by plugging new players in there. Love is wonderful but what are we talking about?:
Nate/Foye/Chandler/Love/McGee ???
Just don't see it.
