I don't care for Leaf either, excellent offensive player but his lack of defense just makes him an easy pass IMO. Mitchell is interesting but Barton would have to be traded first else his trade value diminishes

Yeah I'm banking on a Barton trade. Fingers crossed.

Pistons apparently want to move #12 for an established veteran. We have veterans. Any thoughts on having picks 12 and 13?

I'd trade Wilson and Nelson for #12

That sounds reasonable, but Detroit might disagree. As much as I wouldn't mind seeing Nelson traded, I'd even offer Wilson & Barton. If they wanted, I'd even add a couple of 2nds, spread out of course.

Well truthfully I'd rather keep Barton for a trade of a future pick

Nelson would be their best PG, why wouldn't they want him

Nelson would probably fit better in Detroit than in Denver, just because the style of play.

I'm just not certain what Detroit wants or needs. Their team seems to have enough talent but for whatever reason, they just don't seem to fit together very well. If they are going to do a slight reboot, Nelson probably isn't what they want. So then the question becomes, does he take them into the playoffs? It's possible that they are close enough that he can make enough of a difference, but making the playoffs is probably more dependent on their collective improvement.

I'd rather trade Chandler, Barton and the 13th pick to Orlando for their 6th pick and salary filler (with max 2 years left in the contract).

DX is now listing the Nuggets as drafting PF/C Zach Collins. I know these mocks have to switch it up to keep public interest, but I'd love to see this one happen. IF we were to get that lucky, I see him taking a couple of years to develop, but a core like this would be a team to recon with IMO

C Jokic/PF Collins/ SF Hernangomez/SG Harris/ PG Murray

with a bench of Plumlee/Mudiay/Beasley with another player resulting from a Barton/Chandler/Faried trade

I could go to war with that.

In my eyes there are 13 prospects I would be happy picking with our first round pick, so I wouldn't be all that surprised to see someone like him fall to us (considering we have pick 13). He would make our team even scarier, hopefully he falls!

I wouldn't mind Z.Collins either but I'll stick with Anunoby as my first prefernce.

There are about 6 guys that I'd be happy picking with our first round pick although you might be right, there are 13 that are acceptable talent-wise, maybe even 15-16 I think. But I'm not interested in any of the guards unless we trade up much higher - MUCH higher. But I figure with all of those PGs going in the type 10; at least 5, maybe 6. If we also eliminate any true centers; maybe 1 or 2 - the Nuggets can find a pretty good forward at #13 - I'm happy right now.

Personally, I only have 4 candidates

1. Jonathon Isaac - Wishful thinking, probably out of reach
2a. Zach Collins - Think he'd (eventually) fit in perfectly with Jokic
2b. OG Anunoby - Been on his bandwagon since last year, would be great on a fronline with Jokic/Juancho
3. Harry Giles - Can be the steal of the draft if he's healthy, I'd love to trade Wilson of Barton for a shot at what could be greatness

Looked over the list and here's my preferences in order:

Doubtful they'd be available:
Jackson
Isaac
Tatum

Strong possibility of being available:
1. Anunoby
2. Z.Collins
3. Markkanen
4. John Collins
5. Leaf

Totally with Skywalker on Giles. I'd trade any veteran (over 22 yrs) to get a draft pick that gets us Giles - even throw in a 2nd.

If we can get a late 1st and Giles is gone, what do you think about Jordan Bell?

Moving up and drafting Isaac without parting with Jokic/Murray/Juancho/Harris would be a home run, IMO. I love his fit long-term on this roster. I'd be working the phones to find a way to get that done.

I tend to think by the time we're at the draft, he could be taken 3rd or 4th rather than the 6-8 you currently see projected.

Id be calling ORL and offer up 13, 49, Barton, Chandler and a 2018 or 2019 top 3 protected 1st for Bismack and 6. I usually try to be conservative in trade offers but Isaac fits perfectly and that core can be a contender in 3 years or so

I think Orlando is probably the target for a move-up. Minnesota may be okay moving back for a veteran and 13 as well, but inside-division stuff is always a challenge.

I'm not convinced he's there at 6 when all is said and done in this draft. I would easily take him above Tatum for most teams in the league, personally. Mocks don't reflect that currently, but I think it may turn out that way. If he climbs higher than 6, it's almost certainly not attainable.

The challenge with Orlando is with a new front office, there isn't much there to help predict where they're looking to go. As of now, however, that would be my target.

I LOVE Jordan Bell, and think he'd bring exactly what we need to the table. Also nice because he's game ready right now, and not a project like many of our players. I'd take Bell before Giles in a heartbeat.

Magic fan here. I think everyone in the fanbase is expecting to be tanking and rebuilding for at least another year. 6 to 13 is quite the drop in talent in this draft, so I think it would take you flipping Barton and Chandler for picks and a future pick of your own.
