I think some kind of deal for Aaron Gordon and Porter would be great for both players and teams. AG would know his role behind Murray and Jokic and add much needed defense against Bron etc. Porter would finally give us the wing scorer we have been lacking for ages and he gets let loose in Orlando. Plus when Isaac comes back healthy he masks his defensive shortcomings (Isaac will in DPOTY if he ever stays healthy and we are any good).

I doubt you guys would want to dump him for AG though ha. Guy can dream.
The hero Orlando deserves is out there somewhere, Dwight was not the one we needed. So we will hunt for him...

Perhaps the ORL forum is a better place for your pipe dream then, not interested in whatever you're smokin'.....but you can purchase it here on your way back

There are some on this board that will agree with you, but I suspect most will not. Porter is young and inconsistent but give him some more playing time and he sure does look like the ideal fit for playing with Jokic. He's active and can drive to the basket and get rebounds, but most important, his 3pt shooting helps keep the lane open.

Personally, I wouldn't object to acquiring Gordon, but probably not for Nnaji or Porter and probably not Hampton (and of course not Jokic and Murray). I just don't believe the Nuggets should be trading their young talent.

On the other hand, we surely could use another forward, so ...

I like AG on Nugs a lot for fit with Jokic. But think there might even need to be a bit added to

AG, Fournier, Bamba
For
Porter jr, Harris, Barton

Aaron Gordon x Barton + Bol Bol + 2021 FRP

I have been telling this trade since months. Now Bol Bol trade value is zero

Nuggets didn't try to make a package around MPJ in the Harden trade... they are not going to trade him for Gordon or anyone like that unless they completely give up on him.

Don't tempt me, you know I don't want to trade Porter, bit this idea is tempting.

IF Denver were to trade Porter, none of the of the suggested trades make sense based on that article.

From that link:

"The 2021 first round pick from the Minnesota Timberwolves owned by the Golden State Warriors and Michael Porter Jr. are widely considered the two most valuable trade assets on the market."

Of course neither are likely on the market. As to MPJ, you have to hold on to him and let him develop just as the Nuggets did with Jokic and Murray. Surround them with additional talent including some two way players and you will have something special. If they could trade Harris and/or Barton, they would have by now.

Nope, there wasn't any specific or alleged trade - I meant almost everyone proposed anywhere on RealGM and some of those proposed elsewhere. I just don't think we should trade Porter. If he only becomes just a little better than he is now, he still makes a nice fit alongside Jokic. He rebounds and is fairly active and can drive; but that three point shooting helps keep the lane open.

Trading Harris, Barton, and Millsap 2 years too late and needing MpJ to get it done will be a tough decision. I’d hate to see Porter traded too but they’ve done such a horrible job with the roster management.

Millsap, Harris and Barton traded 2 years ago would have maaaayybe had a chance of adding ?? To this team:

Murray
Beasley
Porter
Grant
Jokic

Nobody wanted to see 5 of that.

There’s a World class ability to fill this roster and put talent on the team. But not be able to use or maximize the right pieces. Is it coaching, management , or combination of what?

There’s a disconnect so wrong with the Nugs that it will now take trading MpJ possibly to fill out a rotation.

This board badly wanted to see what the Gary Harris, millsap, Barton Nugs could do. So maybe what the organization did the right thing. Nugs did win a few series in the playoffs and Jokic and Murray have continued to grow.

Now what

This has been an overkill trade proposal, while DEN could utilize Pascal’s services, we aren’t giving up MPJ for him. Siakam is really a 3rd/4th option but is paid as a 1st option. His playoff performance last year showed his true value.

Raptors really come out ahead here, no thanks

Appreciate the visit

I doubt Denver is interested. Porter is inconsistent but looks to have a great future and is the perfect fit in Denver. I do like the idea of Siakam alongside Jokic & Porter but don't see a reasonable chance of that. Johnson would be a nice backup, so I consider your suggestion reasonable for Denver.

It seems likely that Toronto would like the deal but I doubt Cleveland would. They'd want at least one 1st especially because it seems unlikely Millsap plays next year and Barton would probably not fit their long-term plans.

I think he could be better at PF then SF, he is kinda slow to run with best SFs, but has legth to guard even stronger PFs, so maybe we should look for SF instead?

I have to agree with that. Porter seems comfortable as the starting power forward and Nanji looks like a future stretch 4 who can play 3. They could play together because Nanji can play defense on the perimeter and Porter is a great rebounder.

Why would Cleveland make this trade. Drummond is a free agent. You need to add a sweetener.

DEN isn't adding ANYTHING to this deal, no way they'd do it. But to answer your question, perhaps to get something instead of nothing for a free agent. There is the cap space for CLE too...but ask the DAL fan who proposed it, no idea why he'd think this would work, probably to just get MPJ out of the West seeing what kinda force he's turning into
