Pic says it all.
Three offensive fouls on Melo... 6 fouls total. Numerous bogus calls on KMart, Bird, Nene... all Denver starters had 5 or more fouls.
Thanks Mr. Spooner. "I'm seeing it, but Boss Stern says gotta give this to THE JAZZ."

If they can't win at least one in Utah I guess they don't deserve support.
But I still think we can win both games.
All Nuggets are fine with me, except Mr Big Shot who better start playing like he gives a ****

That's 7 years ago.
Today, he's in self-denial that he's not old. He is only 33, but his legs must be 39. He plays like he's 39.
Dude just hoists shots thesedays... he can no longer stay in front of his men... he drives to the rim uncontrollably and gets offensive calls (reminding me of Marcus Camby)... or 1 out of 2 chances Billups tries to crossover his defender he turns it over, and if he's successful and drives into the crowd another 1 out of 2 chances he passes the ball straight to an opponent.
Dude has heart and he still has his teammates' ears. All I ask is if you know you can no longer do certain things you used to, you better be honest and tell coach you'd like to play less minutes. Concentrate on the sideline, make sure guys are focused, be the player coach... off the floor. My thing is, don't keep trying to prove to everyone you still can do it, and then fail and hurt the team.
Again, out of all Nuggets, I can only single out an individual whose effort and attitude are lacking and that is Billups. It's totally surprising. I have to admit. Dude seems like he cannot care less if we win or not... I don't know what he ate... but he better plays like he cares in Game 3 because he didn't play like he did in Game 2.

HappyProle wrote:My take on the Melo foul and CJ's foot out of bounds is this: refs often let a certain amount of contact go until an event happens that essentially forces them to make a call. The most common one is when a player misses a shot badly after being brushed on the elbow or wrist. If the makes that shot, odds are the official swallows the whistle, but as soon as he misses it "becomes" a foul.
The Miles situation is the second most common, though usually it happens on guys driving the baseline -- they get bumped a little and forced out of bounds, but it's not really until the player ends up out of bounds that the refs make the call.
I'm not saying it's the best officiating in the world, but I think it's what happened in this instance.

Idk maybe Chauncey needs to be reminded how good he is more than we do.
That is the reason a fan should be frustrated with him right now. We know he is capable of this leadership and yet in these losses he wants to take on that responsibility himself. There are a lot of cases where I would say he is the best man to handle a situation personally.....but I want to see him give everything he's got into building up his teammates, chewing them out if necessary, and showing them how they can prosper not just through Billups' "big shots" + defense, but also through moving without the ball, boxing out, moving the ball, etc.
Thing is, we KNOW he's capable of doing this and it seems like lately he's not prepared to build an entire game.
I've heard it a few times, however - "Chauncey is becoming the Nuggets instead of the Nuggets becoming Chauncey's smarter way of doing things..."
This is an opportunity for Chauncey to rise above the situation and be a leader. Yes, it is not as easy as Pistons but when is the second time through ever easy?
It's a mix of intensity + composure. Not enough intensity on the ball in Deron's hands. Deron was allowed to trot around and prepare to execute every play instead of thinking about his defender. Then the composure was fine for like 75% of the first half. It's not show and tell "look at my composure" it's getting in there and actually being composed. It's about responsiveness to whatever play comes along. It's about turning a situation around and not letting it slip again.

So, blind eh? Melo has played defense before this point. And Miles is grabbing his nuts, Melo is just trying to keep him off him.
