Never Thought I'd Say This

But I think Billups needs to go. He is defenseless and offenseless out there.

Kmart is an expiring contract next year, isn't he? What are the chances we can move Billups and him to get in on the sweepstakes for one of the big fa's this offseason?

I would consider dumping AD first.

I wouldn't mind seeing Billups traded. I don't have the same trust when he has the ball in his hands that I use to.

More than anyone, I want to see Nene and Birdman gone. Completely useless.

Some coaches are natural born "assistant" not "head"...

PJ Carlesimo, Maurice Cheeks, Marc Iavaroni (is it his name), Del Harris are all excellent assistant coaches, but when they coach, they stink. AD might be considered in this class... his laid back demeanor, no matter how extreme laid back is, is somehow a perfect mesh with GK's temperamental/ outgoing style. No matter how quiet he is, you gotta admit he's calm. He may not be a great head coach, but as an assistant, I think he does a great job. So if GK is back, keep AD.

Billups needs to get over himself and thinks he's "the leader/ the man" of this team all the time. He tries to do too much at times, and he's not producing. Being a leader is being able to lead, as well as being able to follow. I guess Billups forgets that latter part.

I don't even see how AD would be a good assistant coach. A good guy? Sure, but he seems clueless on the bench.

His role may be in practice between games... I never know...

But if John Welsch, Chad Iske, Mosley had been "promoted" instead of AD... they'd suck too. AD get the nod because he's the one with the most leadership skills out of the bunch I guess... but even an experienced assistant coaches like Del Harris would have struggled too having to take over a team with championship aspirations with 20 games or so left in the season...

All that tells me is that we need a better staff.

AD get promoted becasue he had been here longer not because of any leadership skills.

Chancy Billups has a tough match up, dont judge him by one playoff series against one of the best PG in the league.

I dont think your coach is the problem.

It appears to me like their is trouble in the locker room. With the tweet that went out tonight about playing selfish by JR, you have to wonder.

If your team leaders set the example of showing total respect to the assistant coach, I think the team would follow suit. But Anthony waived off getting called out of the game. Then goes later and doesnt ever speak to the coach. Birdman asked to be pulled (probably winded) doesnt even say a word to the coach.

It is a shame, because the Nuggs have alot of talent.

The praise Billups got when Melo was out hurt went to his damn head and I think he believes that he is the best player on this team.

billups is fine. they aren't playing defense like they need to be. you cant let miles and matthews score close to 20 on you.

Im a Jazzfan so as the enemy, take my comments for what they are worth. I dont think Billups is the problem. I dont think AD is the problem (though he certainly isnt helping). The problem is Carmelo Anthony. I know you all will hate on me for dissing your star player but the dude has never been a team player. He has been a "me-first" guy since day one in this league. He is mentally weak and unable to give credit to anyone but himself, and now that Karl isnt around to keep his attitude in check, Melo has become a cancer to this team and it is showing big time in the playoffs. I dont give a crap if a player on my team scores 50 points if he also has 9 turnovers and ZERO assists....I want him off my team......

Totally agree. If Boozer was shooting the ball while double teamed like Carmelo was, Sloan would have him in the doghouse in a nano-second.

I don't think it's your coach..although the overall game plan and execution sucks.

The coach aint the one out there jacking up shots. Im sure AD's gameplan was "give it to Carmello and let him blame you all later." The problem is AD has no power because he is a puppet coach filling in for Karl. He cant make threats like taking away playing time. Hell Carmello even waived him off when AD tried to sub Melo out of the game. That tells you something about Melo. Its unfortunate that Karl is not healthy....but I dont think Magic Johnson would have folded his tent in the playoffs and blamed his teammates if Pat Riley had been unavailable for a series......

This team is NOTHING without Melo.

Billups is playing like a scrub and AD is clueless. That is what's wrong with this team. Blaming Melo is (Please Use More Appropriate Word). This team doesn't make the playoffs without him. He *is* the team.

What is happening this series is that the Nuggets are getting killed by Utah's flopping and they are falling apart mentally.

LOL I understand you are emotional and all, so I wont tell you how crazy this line of thinking is. All I will say is there's a major difference between playing hard and flopping, and the Jazz are PLAYING HARD.

Here's some food for thought. Taking a charge is not a flop when the offensive player puts down his head, rams with his shoulder, or extends his off-arm. As soon as Melo stops doing these things, I will agree he is getting treated unfairly. But I question if he can even see half the time he dribbles. He just puts his head down, looks at his feet, and tries to run players over....nope, that wont get it done....
