i understand the nuggs are trying to work with what they have, but unless everybody's change is worse, ours will just stay the same and we wont move up in the standings.

rant rant rant rant rant rant rant rant.......... hopefully somebody hears it.

Better to sit pat then trade Ty Lawson to draft someone who is more likely than not to be worse than him at a position we may or may not need as much as we need a pg for the future.

Sometimes no move is the best move.

It's a shame we didn't try harder to make something happen. Any day that ends with JR still on this team is a bad day.

I don't think Ty was ever in danger of going anywhere. The FO overrates him as much as everyone here does.

There is a reason why no actual trades were made during this draft(other then just pick for pick)...it's because the talent pool sucked ass and there wasn't anybody worth trading proven NBA players for. It wasn't just, it was all teams.

And I don't know about anyone else, but watching the Jazz **** up their pick completely made my night.

For the last three years that New York pick was always a scary wild card. When they only got #9 instead of a top 3-5 pick, I was a little relieved....but they still could have gotten a pretty decent player. Them ending up with a late first round/early second round talent was **** awesome though.

Lucky for us they're such a racist organization.

+1. i laughed horrifically after hearing stern announce that 9th pick... what a waste. what a joke.

I think the FO were hoping for Orton to fall into the 2nd round so that they could make a move but he didn't... so they didn't do anything.

HAHA Who didn't see that coming? I couldn't have hoped for more.

The team that actually worried me was the Thunder. They really know what they are doing, and continue to set themselves up for the future. I guess it pays to hang on to your assets, instead of selling them to save a few bucks.

Yeah that's the story. I'm sure there would be even more complaints if it happened though. I'm still interested to know what was involved in that trade. Not quite sure why he was even targeted when Whiteside was still available, but then again I don't understand half the moves this team makes...

This front office doesn't really like to add players through the draft (Lawsome being the exception), so I wasn't really expecting anything to happen.

Whiteside would be completely redundant. Orton wouldn't have been much better, but at least he is a big body instead of a soft Camby clone.

Overall, the talent in this draft just wasn't very deep. It was basically all just project bigs who won't be able to contribute right away. And then a half dozen mediocre/decent guards.

I don't really get what you mean by "redundant." Whiteside's abilities matched at least some of what we needed in the post. We don't even know what Orton's abilities are. A big body does not mean talent, and that seems to be the only thing he has going for him.

the fact that Alabi and Jordan were available to be bought and the nuggets did nothing infuriates me

Because Alabi and Jordan are superstars in the making?

And by redundant I mean that Whiteside is just another skinny "big" that can block shots and rebound decently. Camby at best, probably on Bird's level at the moment. But we really don't need any project bigs right now anyway.

This team hardly makes a move on picking up a major draft piece or trade/sign.

Offering Melo a max contract tells it clear that team wants to stick to what we have right now. I can only hope we get a shooter on the 4 this summer.

The trading period hasn't even started. There was pretty much crap to be had that the Nuggets could have traded for. Nothing they could have gotten, would have helped the team. You don't make moves, just to make moves.

If that's what you meant, I'm pretty sure you used the wrong word.

Anyway, I would love a guy who could get 20 boards and 6 blks every now and then. If he turned out to be Camby, we definitely should have gotten him.
