If you ask me, the Nuggets better match because that's a cheap deal for LK.

Didn't see this one coming... We should match it even if we plan to just trade him elsewhere.

Re: Kleiza signed Toronto offer sheet
speaking more seriously, they have one week to match it, so in the meantime they can pull some trades together and at the end of the week sign him...
it'd be a waste to just let him go.

Re: Kleiza signed Toronto offer sheet
We should definitely match it because even if we don't want him he'll be valuable to a lot of teams after Dec. 15 and we could prob get a TPE and first for him (like Utah got for Brewer)... not to mention at this price he's a bargain almost...
if we don't match, it means Stan is sending a giant middle finger to the fans saying he'd rather save 4.5 mil this year than make the team better (whether it's LK playing or getting value for him)

As a Raptor fan, that makes two of us. Not that I dislike Kleiza, but he's entirely superfluous on a roster that really should keep its eyes on the 25-or-fewer win prize.

**** your asterisk.

are not Nuggets in the luxury tax range now? If so, he would cost them 10m /per season , why would they match that?

Linas Kleiza in Raptors hat. Says he doesn't want Denver to match. Wants to be here. http://twitpic.com/23iets

2 expiring vets that help now. A young big to add to the Scottie timeline
I'd prefer to keep Stew and give Monte Morris
I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks

Kleiza's soft personality fits in perfectly with the Raptors, and it would be a good situation for him. But we still need to match and trade that piece of **** for something.

Mak...BE QUIET! Coming on the Denver and posting that.
You don't see Nugget or Miami fans dumping on our board about Bosh.
Sorry Nugget fans...not all Raptor fans are idiots.

**** that, let him walk. We don't need to pay $5mil/year for our best player's back-up when we're this desperate for frontcourt depth. I don't know how you can say this definitely makes the team better, Joey Graham proved to be just as serviceable but on a minimum contract.

Can you guys provide an insight on this guys games There are fans on the Raps board that say he is a defensive minded player that has a tough edge. Would prefer opinions from fans who actually watched him play. Hope you guys re-sign Melo he is a great player.

well i can tell you, i've watched him all his nba career action and last year in europe.
i can tell you this much about his defense, he'll rarely defend a person that he does not have to defend. meaning he will only get his counterpart sf/pf depending on the type of position he's playing. he's by the book in that way, offensively, he lost his 3 point shot a few percentage points from 07-08 going into 08-09, but got a mid-range game in europe, after all he led the euroleague in points.
go watch a few youtube videos of him dunking on other people in europe, you'll see that he's gotten tougher since his time playing for the nuggs. other than that, he could turn out a hedo type player, if he gets starter minutes, he can be the most improved player no doubt.
