Probably for the best... He takes and misses way too many 3s to be considered for regular season play.

Don't get it twisted. I love Carmelo Anthony. Prolly the main reason i'ma Denver supporter. But your gonna lose him next year i think. I really don't think he's gonna accept that extension. Your team is going no where.. Lack of Depth. He's better of going to either NY, NJ and even Utah. Your management needs to get **** in order. Cause your franchise is next to lose there star.

I would understand if he went to chicago or another team that is a star away from being a contender, but I will be furious if he goes to New York. That is the biggest joke of a franchise in the league right now. Even with Melo they will only be a ~45 win team and low playoff seed. New York has absolutely nothing except an athletic big who can't create his own shot. Melo going to NY means he cares more about being famous than winning.

Exactly. Going to New York would be simply a fame move. He saw the attention Wade and James got and felt lonely. I bet he wanted to be a free agent more than anything in the world at that moment. He couldn't, so his only way to get attention is to talk about leaving. New York has cap room to make some signings next off season, as well as the off season after that, but so does Denver. Billups, JR, Nene, and Kenyon are all coming off the books in the next two years. We could sign anyone that New York can. If Melo cared about money or winning, staying would be his best option.
