Front Office Contracts

Post#1 » by bigcat23 » Sun Jul 18, 2010 11:13 pm

I have been doing some research today and have found only one article stating that Mark Warkentien's contract would not be renewed http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archi ... ts_gm_job/ I am curious if anyone else has heard anything on either Wark's or Chapman contract situation for the upcoming year. I would think ownership would want to get their contracts figured out soon.

Well Wark hasn't been mentioned for any new GM jobs... I'd think he'd come back for a decent price (Stan can't cheap out on a GM) but I think Chapman is prob gone... I got the feeling that Denver had planned on keeping Chapman and letting Wark walk, but after Chapman failed on getting Biedrins on draft day and getting a second rounder, I think they gave Wark the controls back and will prob go forward with him... but this isn't all confirmed.

Warkentein was interviewing for jobs a few weeks ago, but reality is that none of us really know. AS long as Bearup is still running things I am fine with whoever the figure head is.

Bearup is the man behind the scenes. He made the Al Harrington deal happen and he seems to be a key to some of our financially friendly moves the last couple years. Would like to keep everyone in tact, but I figure someone knows whats working and whats not if part of the equation isn't working.
