I think he has been the best guy on the list of available options to vote for in the West this year. If he doesn't make it, it's his fault for not getting a few extra rebounds a night.

Hope not. The All-Star Game is a meaningless waste of time. Better he gets a few days off to pray and whatnot.

Nene just needs some recognition. Just like Scott Hastings always laments: the Forward position on the ALL-STAR roster is stacked. Ole Scotty says it's rigged, but whatever... Nene still plays a full deck of cards (minutes, points, boards, steals, even blocks), and he still has plenty of upside.

But like Elbowthrower said, "Who really cares about the all-star game?" It's obviously a fine accomplishment, but a true all-star is someone who cares about winning in the playoffs.

And that's the kind of player that Nene will be.

If you count Gasol as a PF, I'm thinking he's been the best western center this season.

i hope he makes it

he's been solid especially when melo was out

it's irritating to have to listen to ernie talk about how shaq's gonna make it cause how the centers' list is so thin this year without the opportunity to punch him in teh face.

Last night's performance was certainly not all-star caliber.
