Now the trade is not final but lets say it did happen. How would this roster work out... if this team gets get re energized i can see them making a good run at the playoffs. with a better record than the one we have now.
pg- Devin Harris
sg- arron afflalo
sf- al harrington(still might be traded but lets just say he stays)
pf- derrick favors(should definitely be starting)
c- nene
bench
gary forbes(with increased playing time)
ty lawson(could start if we trade harris but i say we keep harris for awhile, to see how it works out.)
Kenyon martin
J.r smith(could also start at the sf position.)
Chris anderson
anthony morrow
ben uzoh

no.

chemistry and they'll be out of sync for a month. It'll take some time of getting use to.

You could be right, but I think it depends on who is traded and for what. The Nuggets can still field a quality team with players that have chemistry after a trade. Here is what they would have had after this current rumored deal that has already lost its legs.

Lawsome/Harris
Afflalo/Morrow
JR/Forbes/Graham/Ross
Kmart/Harrington/Favors
Nene/Birdman/Ely

The starting 5 already has chemistry and the bench would have some chemistry as well because the Nuggets could put the 3 players that would have been acquired from the Nets on the 2nd unit.

Nuggets already have a pretty decent record. They could probably make the playoffs.

Picking up Devin Harris. Wow that is a nice player. Favors is a up and coming power forward. Giving up a lot but adding a lot.

True

So what. The point is not to barely make the playoffs and get knocked out rd 1. The point always has to be progress toward being an elite contender.

Frankly....the type of deal Denver wants from the Nets, leaves NJ nothing more than a .500 team missing a draft pick (or several) and I can't see why Melo signs on for that. Melo...real world...will call the shots. Denver needs to get on that track and salvage what they can,not jerkoff dreaming about turning a profit in a situation where they don't have control of the key element.

completely agree with old rem, but then again there could be a really stupid trade or decision made in spite of winning logic

wouldn't be the first time that has happened.....hint hint broncos fans

They should find a 4th team to trade Harris for a GOOD small forward.

Do you guys really want Billips when Melo goes? Sure he's a hero practically, but isn't it time to start fresh with a blank debt free ledger?

I will say that I personally do not feel that Billups is the type of player you keep when you are rebuilding, and would prefer if they traded anybody at Billups level of contract and age for picks and young prospects. However Billups is a special case, he is from Denver, loves Denver, loves the Nuggets, and specifically requested to come home if he was traded from the Pistons. Add in his leadership that can help any young rebuilding team, and his future plans with the Nuggets, and I don't know that it is a very good idea to trade him.

Knicks fan here. There will be no trade. Melo does not want Jersey. He only wants NY and never said he wanted NJ. The only trade is to NY or there will be nothing. Melo will simply sign with the Knicks after the season. Sorry people but that is the truth, does not matter that Denver is pushing so hard for NJ. Melo has all the power and say in this. I can't wait for the Amare, Melo show to start.

Batum has youth, but Harris plays well at a valuable position.

LOL. You might be right that Melo has the power but Melo will put the money first.

Denver will not only make the playoffs but be a factor with Boozer and Nene in the frontcourt.

if you traded for ron artest and lo yea for this year . If the nuggets want to make the playoffs they should considerd this deal. And im sure the lakers would give a draft pick. yes its not for the future trade but if the nuggets still want to be a playoff team there going have to make a deal that will kepp them a playoff team.

ron Artest and LO do nothing for the nuggets now or in the future, and only manage to kill any cap space they will have next year.
