Melo missed shootaround, but we always give the Lakers a good game so hopefully this won't be any different.

Hope the boo birds lay off early just in case Melo can conjure up some decency before the deadline

Bynum can't stick with Nene at this pace, he looks like is running in quicksand.

These game threads for every game are pointless, we should just make one for the rest of the season. It might get to 30 pages

I agree with Corona, the league needs to do away with the arms through the defender for free throws crap. It benefited the Nuggets this time, but it is wrong, the defensive player should be allowed to maintain his space.

It is almost Lawsome time, the pace is about to pick up.

The Nuggets backcourt is playing decent so far and they are the reason that Denver is still in the game. Afflalo put together a nice first half.

Well, they owed us one and they gave us one. It was a pretty pathetic display by the home team in the 2nd half.

On to the next one...that 2nd half was something we usually don't see at home

If we were playing anyone but the defending champs it'd be hard not to be mad anddddd here come the trade rumors

always look like the short freshman compared to the varsity lakers frontline.

rebounding/paint presence was disgraceful tonight.

the "big three" beat our 1.5 bigs

where the hell was shelden williams tonight? he could at least bang with them for 10 minutes down low and give the other guys some breathing room

dumb strategy again

hey and if kenyon, nene and melo are all going to play at the same time they need to figure out who's pulling down the boards imho blocking out and hustling up rebounds were key to winning this game

47-27 rebounding differential. disgraceful.

I don't mind Ely eating minutes so long as Karl sees that Shelden is a better option when the team's getting killed in the paint. He's got size, he's healthy, he knows how to box out. We don't have birdman. Shelden's our defacto big man. Nene kicks butt with his FG%, but this game is yet another indication he needs to be in the PF position in games like these and we need to just have a traditional Center.

A rotation of Nene/Kenyon/Shelden as the big men is very solid, Nene and Sheldon together can absorb a lot.

The failure to see when a strategy is no longer working is an achilles heel that has haunted this team and has put a limit on how good they can be any given year.

I see a lineup of Ty, Afflalo, Melo, Nene, and Williams being extremely effective if you start that in the 3rd quarter. Then bring in Kenyon for Nene and JR for Melo and Chauncey for Afflalo and rotate as needed.

Williams on Bynum would have been great. But whoever the big was they allowed the Lakers' bigs to catch the ball way too close to the hoop. Once they catch it that possession is over.

Seen K Mart putting effort in on Gasol defensively a little bit. When it comes to Nene to protect the space between basket and his man was not there. He simply gets pushed back so easy and you can tell if defender is resisting or not to post offense.

Karl sometimes just ........ shrugs them shoulders ans psssk.

williams is garbage. can barely even catch the ball, and is so short bynum wouldn't have known he was there.

the rotation you mentioned is just too small against the lakers length to be competitive....unless they're healthy (kmarts obviously not, and birds not), 100% focused (melo situation won't allow anyone to do that) and giving 100% on every possession.

and on top of that, the coaching philosophy has got to be to attack their bigs more instead of kmart jumpers and isolation melo and watching him drive into 3 defenders. make bynum defend lawson on a high p&r until phil takes him out or they go to a zone.
