AUBURN HILLS, MICH. – Nuggets center Nene has a calf strain and won’t play tonight at Detroit. It was already determined that Kenyon Martin would sit out tonight because it’s the second game of a back-to-back. And so, Denver will start Shelden Williams and Al Harrington in the low post. Coach George Karl said that Martin will dress tonight and if there is a late-in-game situation where they could use Kenyon, Karl might throw him out there. Chris Andersen remains out, too (back and knee). J.R. Smith will play tonight – he was benched Tuesday for missing the shootaround.

The Nuggets have lost the past 14 games here.

Short handed like they are tonight, I think it might be safe to say that streak might get to 15.

Carmelol is forcing everything and playing like crap again tonight. You can just about predict what kind of a game he is going to have based off who the Nuggets play.

that's the 2nd solid screen melo's set in his career.

(not sure when the first one occurred....i'm just assuming that in his 10,000 attempts at slipping the screen he accidentally made contact once)
