I know a lot of people even experts are saying that Alec has star potential especially if he develops his long range shooting. Can anyone that has watched Alec play for two years at CU comment on what type of player Alec could be for the Jazz.... I've only seen countless highlights on him and was wondering what you guys think?

Pros: Very athletic slasher that is dangerous in the open court. Good midrange shot. As much potential as almost anyone in the draft.

Cons: Very unreliable outside of 15 feet. Unwilling to play both sides of the ball.

How much do you like the Colorado kid? If I were Jazz then I'd offer Burks and Millsap for a combo of any two: Afflalo/Chandler/Felton/Nene sign and trades. I realize getting Nene for Sap would require lower value than including the other three, but they are all FA's so the cost goes up + Burks' potential is worth something.

Denver would do Felton for Burks and then the Jazz can go to Portland and supply the filler needed to get him.

something like:

Burks to Denver
Millsap to Portland
Felton to Utah

Jazz don't need Denver to get any value back in your scenario, and Portland doesn't have any expendable pieces worth Millsap. Jazz aren't assuming a division rival's two point guard problem, and sure as hell aren't making the trade any worse for them by throwing in the 12 pick.

Anyone else serious about Burks and/or Sap?

Im confused about the Nuggets trading Felton portion of this conversation... Felton is a Blazer already...

I would love a Chandler for Millsap deal. Not sure I would move anyone else on the roster for Burks, at least no one that Utah would have interest in.

I'm outdated then. Thanks for the update. I'd do a Chandler Millsap swap because the Jazz have too many power forwards and are extremely weak at the 2-3. I think Millsap's value and production is higher than Chandler's, but from a team perspective Chandler would add more. Call your GM for me and ask him to take Raja Braille too. While you're busy fulfilling my dreams, convince the Nuggets to go into full rebuild mode. Give Jazz Nene for Memo's expiring and GS's 2012 first.

I'm glad somebody around here saw that problem.
