While we know we have no shot in hell at getting him since he is a restricted FA....we have a 12 page thread on this interview on the Chicago board.

Afflalo would be perfect in CHI, but there is now way we don't match any offer

He would be a perfect fit for the Bulls.

His attitude certainly has changed since some of the guys have left. I'm glad he's an RF. 8 or 9 million under the last cba doesn't seem realistic, but I think I'd match it. His character, work ethic, elite shooting and solid defense are too good of assets to this team.

Besides, if we lost him, I don't know who I would use anymore in 2k.

our situation is a little up in the air for someone who wants to win.

could be somewhat competitive with lawson/afflalo/gallo/nene/moz with a very solid bench including chandler, dre & faried

or lawson/dre/gallo/harrington/moz with no chandler

I know Nugz fans would want to re-sign him for pretty much any cost, but how does the front office feel? Is it safe to say that they'd at least match a MLE signing for him? Only asking because I need a backup 2 guard for my 2k season and both Afflalo and Marcus Thornton are RFA's and I find it highly unlikely I can grab either one with just the MLE.

afflalo sucks in 2k so it shouldn't be a problem getting him. but in real life they would definitely match mle.

I think Afflalo is my number #1 hope (albeit long shot because of RFA) for the Bulls. Just to get a discussion with Nuggets fans and their take on the subject would you guys be open to a sign and trade? Is there anything the Nuggets could potentially be looking for in either expiring contracts or young bigs like Taj/Omer that would lead you to a sign and trade, or is it simply a just keep him no matter what kind of thing?

keep him no matter what, as long as he's willing. dude exemplifies great basketball....works his ass off on both ends, gets significantly better every year, is selfless, leads, leads by example, is an excellent shooter.

every team in the league would offer him their MLE. but since he'll never be a star, he should never be offered star kind of money. maybe something that averages 8ish million.....but frontloaded since the nuggets should be capable of that.

and fwiw, we have no use for expiring contracts. we probably already have the most capspace in the league....especially if nene walks, as well as a 17 million TPE. and any young big would have to be really really really really really intriguing to give up AAA for.

Ahh ok thank you for explaining. Really anything other than him saying "I hate you all I'm leaving" and he will be a Nugget.
