greg oden anyone?

Post#1 » by youngthegiant » Thu Dec 1, 2011 5:07 am

while he is injured he is expected to return this season. now i'm not sure how much he wants but if we can pull him away from portland he could possibly fit in the nuggets. he needs a new enviroment and i think denver would be a nice place fro him to jumpstart his career. After all he is only 23 and if it turns out bad we could always amnesty him, which would make it a little less painful if something were to happen. a young center i think we should take a risk on. thoughts?

the contract finally ran out on our big man with two microfracture knees.

don't want to take a chance on another unless it's dirt cheap.

yeah it seems like we're repeating the same formula. just a big risk at this point.

I would do Oden + Batum for Nene.

Makes sense. Nene relatively, recovered and stayed rather functional ( as did K-Mart) while Oden has played so little it's still unclear if he's all that talented or if he ever is 100% or averages more than 50% of a season.

Someone pay take a bold leap and overpay. The smart thing is a contract full of team option firewalls so you get him if he's okay...can bail out easy. However...several teams may happily offer that...which Portland may happily match.
CENSORED... No comment.
