Minutes distribution for the first 10 days.

Post#1 » by Ice32 » Fri Dec 23, 2011 10:45 am

With Denver playing 7 games in 10 days to start their NBA season, Coach Karl is going to have to rely on 10 guys to contribute each and every night. Nene, Rudy and Lawson are nursing minor injuries, but should be ready to go by tip-off vs Dallas. Here is a look at what I think the minutes will be for the first 10 days of the season:

C - Mozgov - 16-20, Anderson - 20-24, Nene - 6-10
PF - Nene - 24-28, Harrington - 16-20, Gallinari - 2-6
SF - Gallinari - 28-32, Brewer - 16-20
SG - Afflalo - 26-30, Fernandez - 18-22
PG - Lawson - 26-30, Miller - 18-22

Our first 10 days are - @DAL, vs. UTH, @POR, @ LAL, vs. LAL, vs. MIL, vs. SAC

Dallas will be a tough test, Utah & Portland can be won, Lakers are missing Bynum and possibly Kobe, Milwaukee and Sacramento can be won. I predict a 5-2 start.

You think? He is looking a little rusty jumping I guess...maybe 2K (Kosta Koufos) will snare some of his minutes?

Bird is horrible if hes playing any more than about 15 per game, its rather odd honestly.

I think Miller plays more, and Brewer plays less. I also think Koufos and Faried will get minutes on a nightly basis.

It'll definitely be interesting though, to see how teams play it with the b2b2bs and so many 5 in 7 days type of situations. Will there be games where starters simply wont be able to play 30+ min? If so, we'll have a huge advantage. The ability to role 12 deep without losing much at any point, is almost unheard of. Especially these days with so many star driven, top heavy teams without much depth.

I don't see any way we wont be a very good team in the regular season. And hopefully we improve and grow together enough to have success in the playoffs.

Man you guys are DEEP on the wing. One guy I've been following is Faried over the summer and just seen Faried making a 3 on the highlights. How is he looking? And thoughts on Corey?

I think that may have been Carroll that hit the three pointer, he looks like Faried (the hair).

Corey is a bonus to have and Im expecting him to play an important role on this team - energy off the bench, defense and hustle. He is capable of putting up 20 points if given starter minutes on the odd occasion. Good insurance to have with a shortened season.
