Andre Miller not happy?

So apparently Dre is unhappy with coming off the bench and will "probably not" be signing back with Denver next year.
What do you guys think? Should we keep Dre through the season and hope that winning cures his frustrations? Trade him before the deadline for someone that would be happy coming off the bench for the next few years?
Dre has always been one of my favorite Nuggets, but I'm not sure what I want them to do in this situation. Our guard rotation is full, and is hindering the forwards from playing time. Is it worth getting rid of Dre for the possibility of more mins for Brewer and Faried?

sad to hear.. maybe he'll realize that at 35 he's not going to get many options to choose from.
he's still averaging 29 mpg so i don't know what he doesn't like about that..

Re: Andre Miller not happy?
i think we have to move him now. if he doesn't feel like he wants to be here then i see no reason for him stick around and we lose him for nothing. but to who is the question?
not many teams need pgs, here are a few who could use the services of someone link andre.
team assets
pacers- would like hansborough from them
hawks- draft pick
magic- earl clark, daniel orton, draft pick
lakers- darius morris, draft picks
kings- jason thompson
from those, the lakers would probably be the best fit in terms of needs. they don't have a pg but unless the value was there i'd be hesitant to send him to a rival.

As a Kings fan, I'd love to have Andre Miller. The problem with trading JT, is that we are down to a three big men (JT, DMC, & Hickson). Haye's is out for another 3-4 weeks, and DMC leads the leagues with fouls per a minute.

we could offer one of our bigs, birdman or kosta koufos. depending on which one you take the kings would have to send back either francisco garcia or donte greene.tru6playa wrote:As a Kings fan, I'd love to have Andre Miller. Re: Andre Miller not happy?
I would more likely be willing to go for a Whiteside and Garcia or Donte and a second deal.
Andre just doesn't have the value at 35 to bring back a competent young b/u C/PF like JT. Its not that he's spectacular, its just that there is a severe lack of solid backup bigs that are really seven footers around the league right now so the value is temporarily increased.
And I dont want any part of birdman.

To the lakers for their 2012 and dallas's 2012 at the deadline would be a brilliant move. Keeps karl from playing 2 point guards in the playoffs gets us 2 extra draft picks in the 2012 draft and it helped us win some extra games to get in the playoffs. Only problem is it helps the lakers out but really how much? Dre can't guard ty anyways.

Need Dre to expire to re-sign Gallo and Chandler
Dre for expirings + first or keep him.
And I'd rather have Koufos than JT tbh.

that only leaves the question of whether rudy could be an acceptable replacement for andre.

Keep him and let him walk. Cap space is better than more crappy, soft bigs.

Re: Andre Miller not happy?
This is surprising to me that Dre would openly talk about this, unless the media have twisted the comment?
He is at this stage in his life, a back up PG, he's 35 years old, and the role he has is perfect, he plays almost 30 mpg and would struggle to play anymore. Denver is winning games and he is a big reason why, so I'm not sure what his reasoning is for making these comments (if he did).
So if he was this unhappy, I would shop him by the trade deadline for cap space. Patrick Mills wants back in the NBA, he would be a decent back up to Ty (and he is good friends with Rudy). In the mean time, reduce his minutes to allow Brewer/Rudy to develop more and get more settled with the system. Sounds like George Karl is testing Rudy as PG in practises as he had Brewer cover him full court and GK said that Rudy still needs work on his dribbling skills. In time, I think he could be capable playing PG for a 5 minute stretch. I mean if you can bring the ball up and make a pass, you are on the right track!

Re: Andre Miller not happy?
i think jason thompson is a good fit in denver. just like brewer he hustles and grabs boards, not only that but he can definitely play center. this guy is big and has some good hands. he could be in the starting lineup next to nene and he would prosper here in this system. if i'm a denver gm i try to get this done, thompson just doesn't get enough minutes over there in sac town.

Without Dre, minutes could be:
Mozzy - 16, Nene - 20, Birdman - 12
Nene - 14, Harrington - 28, Gallo - 6
Gallo - 28, Brewer - 20
Afflalo - 34, Rudy - 14
Ty - 34, Rudy - 14
All comes down to Coach Karl's trust in Rudy being consistent and smart with the ball.

^^^ we could also draft a pg in the upcoming draft. myck kabongo is an early favorite for me. he plays like ty except he is more of a passer.

Re: Andre Miller not happy?
"He is the guy, that's pretty clear," Miller said of Lawson. "I understand why they brought me here, so I'm not going to dwell on this, 66 games. Move past and leave it alone."
Miller didn't totally rule out re-signing next season with Denver. But he said that's not his preference.
"Probably not," Miller said of re-signing with the Nuggets. "It depends on the situation. It's just something that you have to get used to. I don't want to get used to it. But if the situation says that I have to stay here for a couple of years, cool. But that's just something that I'd have to worry about later on."'
get him off the team. Rudy can play backup PG easily. i hate that attitude, that's not championship mentality.

Re: Andre Miller not happy?
^^^^^ exactly what i was saying. you can't have a guy saying negative things like that, it just doesn't work out for a team who is trying to become a contender. everyone needs to be on the same page and everybody needs to want to be here in denver.

I wouldn't even use Rudy as the backup PG.

Re: Andre Miller not happy?
while i wouldn't give all of millers 30 minutes to stone, i do think he deserves to get some time. played 6 minutes vs nets and had 3 assists.
if miller does leave then most of those minutes can be allocated to chandler, who we should definitely resign if miller bolts..
