Dealing with new injuries

Al Harrington and Wilson Chandler are each listed as day-to-day with their respective injuries.
Im not sure how Al is expected to play on a bum knee, surely at his age, he shouldn't be playing at all. Rest between now and the Playoffs would be ideal wouldn't it?
Wilson is confident that he will be back by the end of the season - how productive will he be by then and possibly for the Playoffs - who knows???
Minutes Distribution for the next few games should look like:
C - Koufos - 24, McGee - 24
PF - Faried - 34, Gallo - 14
SF - Gallo - 24, Brewer - 24
SG - Afflalo - 38, Miller - 10
Lawson - 36, Miller - 12

Al has had a much better season than last year, it's not his fault GK plays him too much and as a center. Hopefully one of them can provide value as the season ends. We're screwed as the 7-8 seed anyways.

agreed..
i'm just wondering what they're thinking of doing with mcgee. it's obvious karl hates him. i just don't want the nene trade to be for nothing.

If GK hates McGee, then how does he feel about Birdman??? Seems like the guy hasn't played in weeks!
I think if Al and WC are out for an extended period of time, we will see more Koufos/Mozzy and possibly two 7 footers on the court at once. Gallo should get more PT at the PF spot when GK plays 'small ball'. Heck, even Brewer has been getting minutes at the 4 spot lately!
Now is the time for Faried to beast every single night, Gallo to show he's the leader of this team, Koufos to show he deserves that 9 million extension, McGee to play for a contract for next year (with just 9 games left), Brewer that he can be a consistent scorer/defender off the bench.
If Ty, Afflalo and Miller can continue what they have been doing lately, then we will be fine. We need the 2 wins over Houston though at least, and we need to destroy any team that is under .500.

I doubt Karl hates McGee. If that were the case it would have drastically reduced the odds of the trade happening in the first place.
McGee looks like a guy who has been misled by bad coaching for a good part of his development, and the Nugs are definitely a team that can help him with that. And yes that includes the help of Karl.
Looks like the writing is on the wall for Bird though. Too bad because he was pretty good in the limited time he got this year. I don't think it's so much that Karl hates Bird as it is that they want to play the young guys more to see what kind of assets they really are.

I say just play mozgov at power forward 10-15 minutes a game. It worked when he and Koufos started together.

Dont NBA teams give their own players physicals before extending them with a lengthy contract???
I mean look at the Nene situation...he clearly had issues from Day One this year
Now Wilson Chandler. 7 games into his season and he has hip issues?
Doesn't make sense - someone isn't doing their job properly, or players are lying about their health status in hope to land a good contract. Seems pretty convenient that they sign for 4-5 years and immediately get injured.

if i remember correctly, with nene it was more that the coaching staff felt he was no longer motivated after that lengthy extension. his injuries were always more or less recurring so it's not like it wasn't expected of him.
for the team as a whole, the style we play isn't exactly the safe route for preventing injuries, i never thought it was going to be that bad though. the phrase "f***ing ridiculous" comes to mind.
