Would you rather see your team play OKC or SAS in the first round?

Whoops, Sorry. I thought you guys were in the 7 spot.

So given the 3 options, how would you rank the teams you think the Nuggs can win over.

Definitely the lakers. They have the most weak points of any other team. Than the spurs and then the thunder for me.

Lakers
Spurs
Thunder

No disrespect to the Lakers or Spurs, as they are both great teams... and dont think Denver beats any of them to be honest. Just think with Artest out, we'd have the best shot against the Lakers. Would go 6 imo

For anyone that watched the regular season, the Lakers do not allow us to play our usual running game. We averaged just 93.5 ppg against them this year. The 3 losses were decided by 6 points or less, so come crunch time, they have the weapons to stop us from winning. Losing Metta World Peace doesn't change their game plan, they will just start Ebanks or Barnes - who is playing just as well as Peace. It just means Gallo has to step it up, but I don't see that happening. Problem is that GK will play small ball and that will hurt us in the 4th quarter vs the Lakers. McGee is a terrible FT shooter so he wont be in the game, it will be Harrington playing C and he cannot rebound at all with his bum knee. We will get exposed upfront. Our only advantage is our deeper bench.

Vs Denver this season, Bynum averaged 25 and 12 & Gasol averaged 16 and 11 - thats 41 points and 23 rebounds!!! You think Koufos, McGee, Faried and Mozzy can stop that??? Whilst Kobe 'only' averaged 17 against us this year, its the bigs I'm more worried about.

I actually think we would do better vs OKC, IF Harden remains sidelined for a few games. Their bench is weak and besides Durant/Westbrook, they don't have a consistent 3rd scoring option.

I dont want to face the Spurs, they would sweep us.

Two of the losses were also part of our two separate b2b2bs, and the first one we realistically could have won if not for the blown layup by Gallo. Either way, all the games were extremely close and could have gone either way. Obviously the Lakers have the advantage late in games, and that likely will be the deciding factor, but it still should be a really close, hard fought series.

Kobe shot 19-69 against us this year, and generally hurt the Lakers (by taking the ball away from Bynum/Gasol) more than he helped them. If Afflalo can continue to contain him like he did during the regular season, we have a legit shot. But we're going to need Gallo to step up and be something like the Gallo of old(before the injuries), as well as some decent performances out of our contingent of 7 foot stiffs.

This, of course, if we do face the Lakers.

It looks like either OKC or the Lakers now. They played pretty well against OKC but that was without Harden. I think I would also go with the Lakers. Unless Gallo can turn things around I do not think the loss of MWP will turn out to be much of a factor though.

I like our chances against LA if Ty Lawson can produce more than he did during the year against them. They don't really have anyone who can deal with his speed defensively but he only averaged 12.3 ppg on .400 shooting. He did have 7.5 apg against them, but he should be able to put up far more points against this Lakers team.
