i seem to remember 80% of the general board saying his contract was way overpaid and denver should have let him walk or hard balled him to see if anyone else would offer anything.

and then he started off the season slow, partially from not playing basketball (didn't want to injure himself as a free agent) and probably also because he felt he had to put up numbers to earn the contract he had signed.

he certainly worked his butt off and got his act together as the season went along....
15/3/2 on 43%fg and 35%3fg in february
17.5/3/3 on 50%fg and 44%3fg in march
18.7/4/3.4 on 52%fg and 45%3fg in april

if he maintains close to that post-allstar break production in the coming years his contract will be considered a bargain. he's learning how to score more, in more ways while still just taking good shots.

now if only he could play some defense....

lawson/aaa/gallo/faried....
nuggets basketball in the next 5 years will be good regardless of how this series goes.

Well deserving of everything that comes his way. Dude is the definition of a hard working pro. One of my favorite athletes to have ever gotten a chance to see up close. I would love to see him finish his career here.

It's amazing how much better he gets every year. He can actually create his own offense now. He is looking like a bargain.

Also, i love how many new moves he.added to his arsenal this year.

That little fade-away in the paint is money $$$!

Hopes he continues to play like this next year. He was playing at an all-star level.

his efficiency is amazing, every time he touches the ball i get a bit more relaxed because i know he'll make the right decisions.

Whilst Afflalo did have a slow start to the season (really slow), he certainly stepped it up after the AS break and became the leader of this squad. Once he works on his post game, he will be a Top SG in the league.

Defensively he had some great games (vs Kobe) then other games he has some lapses.

I think if he can give Kobe fits in Rd 1 and score 15-20 ppg, the Nuggets have a legit shot at an upset. Next year I can see him on the West AS team as a reserve.
