I'd do it if we could get a top 10 pick for AAA and full cap relief. Otherwise its a lateral move. I don't want OJ over about 7.5 million and we would have to overpay to get him. We would also have to have a backup plan if we cant sign OJ. Something along the lines of Shannon Brown, Terry, Fields or re-sign Fernandez. Not sure its worth it.

Also, I HATE chandler at the 2. He is much more of a 3/4 than a 2/3.

absolutely agree with this. if we can somehow teach this guy basketball fundamentals, he'll be worth every penny. if not, i don't see how paying him 10-14 million could be worse than kenyon's contract.

This site provides a salary breakdown. Nuggets have 46 committed with Chandler's deal.

He's had another atrocious playoffs series.

Though we badly need a scoring wing off the bench especially one that can shoot 3s, I think there are many options better than JR Smith.

I am hoping we can snatch Brandon Rush but it'd be tough since he's restricted. But there are many wings that are unrestricted who I think we can get this offseason and would be a good fit: West, Barbosa, Foye, Belinelli, Brown, Crawford.

Of the unrestricted guys, West would be my first option since he's a good defender and compliments what Lawson lacks (long range shooting, defense, post offense).

It should also be obvious that Andre Miller has brought a lot out of McGee. Miller goes and so does a fair amount of McGee's high flying dunks, miller is the best lob passer in the league.

I'm one that thinks we should let Dre walk since it's time for Lawson to take control of this team and stop deferring to players.

I think West would be okay, but he is kind of crazy and I don't know if the Nuggets will take that chance after all the drama around KMart and JR these last few years.

One guy I would like is Chase Budinger, I think he will be cheap, has a good outside shot, and is athletic as hell. He's not bad defensively from what I have seen and would make a good combo with either Chandler or Brewer at the 2/3 off the bench, especially if the decide Stone is ready to be the backup PG.

You are right, for some reason I thought he was signed to a standard 3 year rookie deal that most 2nd round picks sign.

Just wondering if you guys think one of Koufos or Mozzie gets moved this offseason. I'm a long time Avs fan and after you guys got Gallo you became one of my western conference teams and I think both guys have solid careers in front of them as strong back up Centers, but with Javale likely getting a big long term deal soon both won't be able to get there in Denver. So will the team hold onto them for as long as they can or do you think they'll ship out whichever one they like less sometime soon?

On a similar note I'm assuming the plan is to bring back Andre Miller, right? He's one of my favorite players on the team alongside Aflalo, Gallo, Javale, Ty Lawson, Corey Brewer and Nene when you still had him, so would be a shame to see him leave, at least to any team other than my knicks. :P

It seems like the nuggets need a more athletic, taller version of Harrington. I think Harrington is the one who should get the amnesty. I would like someone like Thaddeus Young, but he might be hard to get. Darrell Arthur could be had pretty cheap. So could Anthony Randolph.

The next question is do we bring Dre back? I love dre but he is getting up there in age.

We will be over the cap with Nene's 13 mil TPE, javle's hold/contract, the MLE, dre Fernandez and our 1st. This means we can't sign anyone outright unless It's mle, Javale, dre or fern. If we amnesty big al, trade Moz and brewer, renounce rights to dre, fern and nene tpe we will have about 35m in salary before javale. If Bird is convicted of child porn (i hope he is innocent) we would only have about 31m committed. Say javale signs a deal starting at 9.5m, that would leave close to max cap space.

Honestly though I see them staying over the cap like last year. 1. Sign McGee. 2. Sign backup PG or Pf/C to MLE (Aaron Brooks, Augustin, Arthur, Randolph etc.) 3. ???

Has Miller changed his mind on returning?

I know he previously stated that he wanted to be a starter somewhere else.

Let's get something clear, there is no way in hell the Nuggets are going to amnesty Harrington, you do not amnesty guys who put up 14 and 6 on good contracts. If he was going to be amnestied it would have been last year.

They are also not going to salary dump Brewer and Mozgov, Brewer has played pretty damn well and Mozgov has done enough in this series for them to look at his potential and decide to either keep him or trade him as part of a bigger package.

There is nobody really worth a max deal this summer, and if there were there is no way the Nuggets would sign them anyways. They want top 10 players at each position, can't do that when you have someone eating up somewhere around 30% of the cap.

This team has overproduced and beat expectations, while being on a low payroll, and also having the 2nd youngest starting lineup in the league. They also have 4 young bigs that have shown the ability to play roles on a good team, they have no need for another big. do not buy the hype that the Nuggets have to have a superstar, as the front office is not buying it, and you will only be disappointed.

If I was pulling the strings I would leave the team basically as is, resigning McGee, bringing in another backup PG, and a SG who can shoot the 3 ball from the 2. Whether that means trading Chandler, amnestying or voiding Andersen's contract, using the picks, or trading one of the young bigs is up for debate, but there is not a ton of changing they should do.
