For those that missed it, stone and Chu Chu did not play.

Izzy looked like a solid prospect that has some ways to go.

Quincy Miller made some solid defensive plays, but looked a little lost on offense, especially in the 1st half.

Evan Fournier looked like he has some talent, not very good from 3, but he looks like a playmaker that has potential.

Jordan Hamilton looked good as long as he was not trying to dribble too much. He could be the answer at the backup that can hit outside shots and spread the floor for the 2nd team.

Faried looked ok for him, although we know all about him. You could see he was out there actually working on some skills other then finishing and rebounding, he tried a few moves in the post, and half way tried to slash. A few passes out of the post as well. I was hoping they would try to work with him to develop more skills.

The free agents all kind of looked ok but not anything they will have interest in keeping with this team.

Thoughts and grades for game against the Warriors

kenneth Faried: C+ 10pts, 8reb, 3ast, 3bs, 3to
Hard to really judge what Faried did out there, most of us probably thought he would be out there dominating but that simply was not the case. Played physical but really just tried to do too much offensively. His jump shot looked broken and his one-on-one offense should never be an option. Faried is an off the ball scorer and he was simply asked to do too much offensively. He had a few silly turnovers and could never really find a groove. One new aspect about Faried's game is his passing. He was able to dish out some nice passes and I still give him an above average grade because of the hustle he played with. Faried needs to come out strong in Game 2 and stay within his element.

Jordan Hamilton: C- 18pts, 5reb, 2ast, 4to
Statistically Hamilton had the best game of any Nuggets player, but I found his play to be a little too overly aggressive. He started off hot but went ice cold in the second half. For the hype that Hamilton has been receiving this off-season, he was surely a letdown for me. He was forcing up bad shots and never really looked to get his teammates involved. I hate to say it but he just looked like a ballhog out there, teammates were obviously frustrated with him. Hamilton needs to slow it down and let the game come to him. He made some stupid mistakes and if he doesn't correct this, then there is no way he cracks the rotation.

Evan Fournier: B- 10pts, 5reb
I was pleasantly surprised with Fournier's game, smooth, great passing, and a nice ability to get inside the paint. Reminds me a lot of Gallo in SG form. While he was far from perfect, he had some nice stretches. He had a very well rounded game and was able to show me what he can bring as a player. He was penetrating and dishing the ball, but seemed a little to thin to finish inside. He would penetrate and then kick out to pass, which did create some nice opportunities to score but I'd like to see him look for the contact.(ala Ginobli/Harden) He drained his first 3 pointer but then went ice cold from behind the arc. He has a nice form but was struggling to shoot it. Overall he had a nice game and his assists will only go up if you put better players next to him.

Quincy Miller: C 6pts, 8reb, 3to
In a way, I kinda knew that this is the type of game Quincy would have. Not a bad showing but definitely not a good one either. He looked lost on offense and just stood in a corner at times. He was able to get a nice put back, hit a nice mid range jumper, and showed his athleticism with a thunderous dunk. Only had 6 pts but I could definitely see the potential in his offense. Another stat that surprised me was his rebounding, you can definitely tell that he is recovering well from his torn acl, he really got up to get a few of those rebounds. Don't know if he will be able to keep this up but i guess we'll find out soon. One part that I truly saw Quincy struggling with was his dribble. He got stripped a few teams which ended up turning in turnovers. He needs to work on his dribble, he dribbles way too high and opponents can just swipe the ball from him. Overall, I feel Quincy is oozing with potential, he needs to add a ton of weight and build up his offensive repertoire. I know he had a nice post game in college but he never even tried to set up in the post once. I give my boy Quince an average grade and I hope he can really impress me in the next game.

My only access to games are during the interviews on the NBA videos page.

From those small samples, I like what I saw of Jham hitting open 3s though. Seems reliable at least.

Fournier looks pretty good too. Quincy Miller, hard to see him making the roster.
