Not bad. I like Anthony, he's very young and has potential, but... he's a headcase.

Right now...

Lawson-Miller-Stone
Afflalo-Chandler-Fournier
Gallinari-Brewer-Hamilton
Faried-Harrington-Randolph
McGee-Koufos-Mozgov

You need to cut Stone in case you want to sign Quincy Miller, nope?

I believe so. Stone's on his way out after his injury so I'm not to worried about signing Quincy Miller.

Randolph has played well the few times he's gotten minutes. The problem is that he's never had a consistent role on any team he's been on, and he's not going to have one here either. Probably just an insurance policy in case Harrington gets injured. And he fits in with the youth and potential movement we have going right now.

Part of me feels bad for the Birdman. He was the last guy left from the '09 WCF team, and I think he can still contribute if someone gives him a chance. He just doesn't have a place on this team anymore.

Yeah, I can't lie Birdman was Denver's novelty, the mascot if you will. He was serviceable at a time, but we must move forward. His mobility is shot, ever since the child pornography scandal he might be shoved under the rug or judged unfairly by front offices, but he can still be better then Juwan Howard, Eddy Curry, or hell even Johan Petro. Many teams could use Birdman, the thing is, can they use him effectively?

Like this move (both sides of it) a lot for you guys. Randolph has a lot of potential, and at that price he's a valuable piece.

We wont use him, unless Harrington completely sucks or gets injured, he'll most likely be third string behind Harrington. We already have a young power forward so I don't really see how he'll fit in. :(

You guys need to make a trade to grab a Star... with the pieces you've got, you can grab even two, don't know who to target but...

Nobody is willing to trade a star for serviceable above average starters if the star is content with his settings. By the way, I would cry if we picked up Howard on a rental deal, that'd be horrifying.

Well they did sign him for three years, so maybe they're thinking down the road with this move. He doesn't have a role on the team as it's currently constructed, but both Harrington and Chandler could be gone within a couple years, so who knows.

That's positive thinking for ya.

If al Harrington gets minutes at center, then i don't see how Randolph doesn't. Could be a mismatch for some centers in the league offensively. Rather being go small with a 6'10 guy than a 6'8 turtle.

3 years, 6 million is a great deal. The worst case scenario is that he provides bench depth at a decent price. The best case scenario is that he becomes a huge bargain by the third year.

Roster right now:

PG-Lawson/A Miller/Fournier
SG-Afflalo/Brewer/Hamilton
SF-Gallinari/Chandler/Brewer
PF-Faried/Harrington/Randolph
C-McGee/Mozzy/Koufos

Stone most likely to be cut, Q Miller may be signed

I think a trade is in the works, we have so many intangible pieces now, minutes are limited at the 2 & 3 spots to keep Afflalo/Gallo/Brewer/Chandler/Hamilton happy

Not totally unexpected, although i do not know why they would sign Randolph at this point, this team already has way to many players that need more minutes.

Agreed and that is why I think a trade is coming. Gallo and Chandler are practically the same, Brewer and Hamilton are similar, AR could be as good or better than Harrington. Too many above average players and only 48 minutes at each position means GK's job is harder and someone misses out.

I agree but in terms of depth, the 4 is probably our weakest. A good low risk high reward player I think,

As a Knicks fan, my condolences. For all the love W. Chandler and Gallo got when they came over from us, Randolph is going to anger you guys and then some.

He plays with no instinct, no heart, showed zero urgency when he was called upon for the Knicks and he was suppose to be a rotation player right away for us when we got him in the Lee deal and he quickly fell into the doghouse from D'Antoni who could have made Randolph's stats go off the wall if Randolph cared at all.

I can't recall many worse players in the past 5 years to play for the Knicks than Anthony Randolph, which says plenty on how bad he is.

Here are a few that come to mind:

Jerome Jordan
Renaldo Balkman
Jared Jeffries
Bill Walker
Shawne Williams
Anthony Carter
Andy Rautins
Eddy Curry
Jordan Hill
Jonathan Bender

On the right team, AR can do really well. Its easy to fall into D'Antonio's doghouse - heck, they cut Corey Brewer before he even put his sweats on!

I think AR will be great for the team, and he has an opportunity to grab minutes at the 4 and 5 spots.

Brewer wanted out unless he was guaranteed playing time, which was silly since he had done nothing at that point to. And I'd take Jeffries, Shawne Williams and even Ashy Larry(Carter) over him....but yeah Jordan Hill and "Magic" Randolph are pretty much the same.

Unlike Hill though, I was truly hyped up on Randolph because the Warrior fans really sold him well to us Knick fans. Turned out he was a massive failure and letdown though.
