Predict Farieds Stats

Post#1 » by aaa » Wed Jul 18, 2012 11:36 pm

What are we expecting from the manimal this year? I'm hoping for 10/10 with 1 spg and 1 bpg and great percentages. Am I way off?

Based on his play during March & April, I would expect increased minutes and productivity across the board for 2012/13:

32 mpg, 58% FG, 70% FT, 10.5 rpg, 1.5 apg, 1.0 spg, 1.5 blks & 12 ppg.

He should easily average 4 offensive rebounds per game, and if he works on his post up game, he could easily rack up more kick-out assists

He needs to work on his FTs because he should be able to draw more fouls going to the rack.

A summer league, training camp and pre-season will help him tremendously.

Thanks for your insight man, I appreciate it. I would be ecstatic with those numbers, especially the 1 spg and 1.5 bpg.

Is he a lock to start? Seems like this guy is poised to be one of the best young bigs in the league. I'm very excited about his potential.

Well the starting PF spot is his to lose. Some people think he's better suited off the bench has an energy guy. It really depends on opponents and match-ups. He struggled against Gasol in the Playoffs, but then he's quick/strong enough to hold his own against most 4's.

His role is really to rebound and play defense, and most of his buckets are put-backs, tip-ins, fast break lobs, the odd jumper. If he develops a 15 footer, then he will be fantastic.

I think he could lead the league in rebounds in 1 or 2 years, and maybe be an All-Star, but he's really exciting to watch!

He reminds me of a Horace Grant type of player - blue collar worker, but with Shawn Kemp hops!

Hmmm, so regardless if he starts, I think my real question is can he log 33+ mpg next year? I think that'll be a bigger indicator of his success than starter status.

I share your optimism about Faried, at least in the sense that he could be one of the best rebounders in the league soon. He has the energy and motor along with the physical frame and nose for the ball that all great rebounders seem to have. I really think he's gonna be a special player.

I think it's reasonable to expect him to average a double double on good percentages, but I don't think he gets 30 mpg. At least not as long as Harrington is still on the roster.

i cringed when karl mentioned how "effective" harrington was as a center, during one of his summer league interviews...

he got 10 points in 22 minutes last season. his probable minute rise will get him 10+ easily, rebounds as well.

I'd be happy with a double double and good defense.

so basically im gonna have to get Faried in my fantasy draft. If he comes close to the general expectations of this thread it's going to be a great year for the manimal.
