Wilson Chandler

Raptors fan here. Just wanted to know the value of Wilson Chandler and what it would cost Toronto to acquire him. Denver has Brewer, Gallo and recently acquire Iguodala so it seems possible that Chandler could be on the move. What would Denver be looking for?

Sorry for giving this it's own thread...didn't see a Trade Thread.

Toronto doesn't have a player that Denver needs apart from Bargnani who is worth more than Chandler.

The Raptors make bad trading partners, and Chandler is quite important since he's our backup 4 next season.

I think Masai will make a decision by the trade deadline as to who stays and who goes. Gallo, Chandler and Brewer all play SF minutes. Brewer is an attractive expiring contract, and both Gallo/Chandler are injury prone on 4 year deals.

Depending on the first half of the season and who stays healthy depends on who will be traded.

A three team trade would make the most sense. With Denver using the Nene TPE to absorb some salary and getting a high quality big man, Chandler going to Toronto, and Toronto sending some additional assets to the third team. For instance, maybe something for Millsap or Horford. Straight up it just doesn't make much sense.

I would not trade Faried straight up for Bargnani, I hate bigs that don't rebound or play team defense.

No. Also, you don't have a 1st, so one of your "core" players would be the only thing to pique the interest of Josh and Masai.

Maggette's expiring contract is the sweetener in this deal...You guys save money so you can re-sign Iggy and Lawson...Chandler probably wants to be a starter, not a sixth man...

So you think the Nuggets will trade Chandler for a 2nd and expiring contract? Why would they have signed him 6 months ago if that is all they thought he was worth? You do not get a quality starter for an expiring and a 2nd round pick.

Also the Nuggets already are in position to resign Lawson, and Iggy is overpaid meaning in 2 years he probably gets a paycut.

so in other words who would we trade a starting quality player for on your team that has no or negative value? I mean really outside of Monroe and Knight there is not a single player on your team I would trade Chandler for, and even Knight is iffy.

^I think you may be overvaluing Wilson Chandler bro...Ben Gordon scorched your entire team last season and Chandler got a piece of Ben Gordon's rage...I wouldn't say Chandler is a "starting caliber player", I just think he has a nice contract and he could probably play to his potential with a team that has a history of winning...I thought that since your team had Gallanari starting at the 3, Wilson Chandler may be expendable...You're crazy if you honestly think Knight is iffy...Thanks for your insight though...

LOL, you say I am overvaluing a player, and then bring up 1 game, where 1 guy got out of this world hot to prove I am wrong. And if you do not think Chandler is a starting caliber player, then I do not know what to tell you, other then watch more then one Nuggets game a year before trying to act like you know everything about a player.

As for Knight, the guy was horribly inefficient, had a horrible assist to turnover ratio for a pg, the offense and defense both got worse with him on the court, and he lost almost 60% of his matchups, I am fully comfortable saying it is iffy on whether I would trade Chandler for him.

Knight probably has way more value then Chandler. Anytime you get a chance to trade for a young player with potential and it only costs someone like Chandler, with a relatively lengthy injury history... who was also incredibly inefficient in limited minutes: you probably do it.

With that said, Denver doesn't really have a need for Knight on the current roster and there's no way Detroit even thinks about trading for Chandler if it costs them Knight. All the players Denver would like, Detroit wouldn't be willing to give up.

I'd trade Chandler if it was for a pick down the line with minimum protections behind it tho.

Is Wilson Chandler out of the rotation? Gallanari, Brewer and Hamilton creates problems at the small forward postion. Denver could use another power player with some versatility. The possibility of trades to improve this team can any team provide any possiblities. thomas1897 thanks

Chandler is playing 20 mpg which is about the max he is allowed per doctors as he finishes recovering from his surgery. He did not play last night also due to medical orders from my understanding
