Phew....tried to give that one away. Ty looking more and more like he's NOT the longterm answer to the PG spot in Denver.

Always feels good to beat the Spurs, no matter how ugly. Gallo was fantastic.

I would not say that Ty is not a long term answer at PG for the Nuggets, I would say though that Ty is never going to be the all star caliber player some of us hoped he would become and that the Nuggets planned on him being. He has the game, just not the mentality, he is much better as a 3rd or 4th option type and should not be the primary option or guy asked to take over games.

Overall the game was saved by Gallo, it should have been a blow out until they decided to slow down, I don't understand why they continue to do that against good teams.

Agree with everything written here. Galo great. Ty terrible. Nice to beat Spurs. :)

It was a pretty sloppy affair but very entertaining regardless. Those stepback threes from Manu and Gallo where just awesome in timing and clutchness to get momentum. Ballsy too, since if they missed they would have looked absolute idiots.

What about because good teams react to their offensive scheme and they're forced to slow sown? The Spurs in particular have always been notorious for that, and if they managed to slow down Nash's Suns I can hardly blame our guys for not doing better, especially in a win.

Yeah, I really don't think they choose to slow the game down. Good teams can just control the pace of the game. And considering our fast-break offense relies on tough, aggressive defense with a lot of turnovers (which we get at times, just not consistently), it's easy for a team like San Antonio to slow it down.
