I think we ought to make a real run at KG and possibly Paul Pierce. These vets definitely pace themselves but they do get up for big games. I think KG helps us for the next year or two. After that he can be off our books (or still playing for a lot less) and that helps us have the money to pay Faried.

Right now we are the top offensive rebounding team in the league which is impressive but also important because our foul shooting is dead freakin last and our 3P shooting is 26th overall.

KG's ability to score in the high post and on the baseline opens up the floor for the Nuggets. That's not Ken Farieds game so he would fit much better as an energy guy next to a Center like KG that can drill shots. KG like Gasol helps us out in a half court set. In the playoffs the games are going to slow down and we just don't know how to play that way. When we need to run something it will be nice to have KG out there. Plus KG is a real ahole and he'll bring that intense win at all costs mentality that we could use.

It would allow us to move Koufos to the bench where he'd be pretty damn effective spelling KG and even letting KG slide to PF on occasion.

If we really rolled the Dice and traded Iggy too I could see Chandler starting and Pierce being our 6th man bringing some serious scoring off the bench. If the goal is win this year and next year... bringing in some champs couldn't be the worst thing. Plus Andre MIller could be like Grandpa Rondo to those guys... I think KG and Pierce would do well with him out there.

So you want to move a couple of good young players to add a couple of players with only a couple of years left? Not to mention KG would more then likely retire before he came to Denver. AS for starting Chandler, exactly where are you going to start him? He is not nearly quick enough to guard the smaller SGs and when teams go with the 2 pg lineup he has no chance.

Also I doubt that the celtics are going to look at trading Pierce for Igoudala, if they move Pierce it will be to get some young talent, not a guy well into his prime with a huge contract that is expiring in the next year or two.

Not to mention fit? A guy in the mid-high post is not going to spread the floor for a team that is already 1st in the league in points in the paint and possibly the worst shooting team in the league. They need outside shooters to spread the floor, another guy who operates in the post is not going to spread the floor.

There are some good points for KG but the fact is without a shooter or 2 to spread the floor the Nuggets are not going to be contenders.

Well first I am not sold that there needs to be a trade. I just think exploring something like this makes more sense than trading for an injured Kevin Love. I think realistically it is more 50/50 if Garnett accepts a trade. Just swapping KG for McGee is the easiest... and it gives something unique to Boston and it adds something we need. Doesn't solve our 3 point shooting but it does help unclog the paint for us and gives us a half court option.

KG is a championship first guy so you never know about him okaying a trade. Taking Iggy back I thought of from more of a business standpoint. If they unload everybody for prospects that might hurt their business side. With Iggy you got a Team USA guy that is on a short contract. You can keep him and agree to a long-term deal, trade him, or let him expire and have a bunch of cap space. Boston is in a tough spot right now and I'm just suggesting we could try and captialize on it.

Chandler starting and Pierce coming off the bench isn't as good an option as Iggy or Afflalo defensively we agree on that.

I could get behind just a KG trade over that Love deal. Or if you want to go for a championship go balls to the wall. In theory we have enough pieces to acquire KG, Pierce, and Prince from the Pistons. I think those 3 guys would sign up to play together.

Send Iggy, McGee, Brewer, Mozgov, and our 3 picks this year out for KG, Pierce, and Prince coming back. Makes more sense than that Love trade... that's all I'm saying. Not endorsing it as we are winning right now.

If we want to win a title go after guys that still got game and that have done it before.

That's a terrible trade, in the blink of an eye you'd change the Nuggets from a fast break team to a disfunctional half court team. That's too much of a transition to make mid-season.

Prince just got traded...

Any speculation on how new players would come in and make it work mid-season is totally fair. How and if that would work is very hard to say.

But to also be fair... what we know for sure is that when the playoffs come around the game slows down and teams must execute in the 1/2 court set. Right now Denver is all run and gun and not effective doing the things that are needed to close out good teams in the playoffs.
