Yea it's three weeks away but this is a big game, I'm sure it's circled on the players schedules, emotions will be flying sky high.

Vs

Not only is it Melo's first game back in Denver but he'll be joined by JR, Camby, Felton and possibly K-Mart if his 10 day contract is extended. How will the crowd react to the old squad being back in town?
Plus you have Gallo, Chandler and Moz playing against the team that traded them away.

The Knicks will be more motivated for this you would think.
We seem to do well in revenge games this season though.

Knicks are really dumb, they essentially have rebuilt the exact same team that Denver was trying to win with.

they hired trader Mark Warkentien as their director of player personnel just before the Melo deal, and last I heard he was still there. If I remember right he was always the guy pushing for some of the more notorious thuggets, and was at least partially responsible for building that Nuggets team. It does not surprise me that he has brought in several of the top players from that team, or the fact that they have tried to build a team very similar to many of the old Nuggets teams. Even with the defensive minded SG and center with JR and a shotblocking/rebounding center to come off the bench.

So I'm guessing Melo misses this one. Glad I didn't buy tickets now.

I've had my tickets for months. Melo better play, though I agree he probably doesn't so he can delay his visit here for another year.
Either way, Nuggets need the W more than revenage on Melo.

Hopefully Gallo will bounce back after a subpar, and a terrible game. The Nuggets should win the game at home regardless.

What reaction do you think Melo will get from the Denver crowd?
I don't know if you guys were able to watch the Knicks/Warriors game last night, but Melo looked absolutely terrible. He had no lift at all and at times, it seemed like he was legitimately limping up and down the court. And of course Woodson played him for 35 minutes in a blowout.

thought about going for a second just to boo incessantly.
then found out even the upper level crap seats are $60 apiece.
i'll just boo from home.

That is a bargain, that's how much I have to pay to see the Lakers play the Bobcats.

I got lower bowl seats for $10 to the last game against Minnesota. I love how crappy our fans are, makes going to games extremely affordable.

While he did exit in a crappy way it was a good thing that he left.
It was the right time to end the Melo era and start a rebuild.

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nba--will- ... 35346.htmlStill denying Lala's involvement in the trade demand and still clueless as to why people here might hate him. I hope the crowd boos him louder than Kobe. He might as well be the Detroit Red Wings to this city.
Probably a good thing I will be at home for this... A lot less likely to get kicked out of the building.

But here's the truth: Anthony did more for pro basketball in Denver than Karl, Ujiri or the father-son Kroenke tandem. Melo made basketball matter in Colorado again. He pulled the Nuggets from league laughingstock to a Western Conference finalist for only the second time in team history.
http://www.denverpost.com/kiszla/ci_227 ... thony-uponWhy boo him now? We're a really good "Team" now. Dude didn't want to be here anymore. So what if his wife wanted him to move, you think he's the only man that's moved cause his wife didn't like where the family lived. How is it any different than any of you leaving the job/location you're at now cause you just don't want to be there anymore. Would you have rather him play out his deal and walk for nothing?
Look at Cleveland, Orlando, Toronto.....We're sitting waaaay prettier than all of them.

.....But I still want the Nuggets to run those Knicks outta the gym tonight, make their sore knees burn. 10 straight would be the longest winning streak of the Karl era, getting AGAINST Melo would be something.

Well I suppose we should applaud if anything... the trade has worked out fine for us. And I have moved on from this, but I read that piece as well. One thing Melo did not mention is that he wanted to go to New York. To fail to mention that when considering how it all went down illustrates the exact issue we fans have with players like Carmelo. For his and his girl's reasons... he wanted to be in NY... and that was a huge part of all this... that's why we couldn't trade him anywhere else... so for him not to acknowledge that... I have no problem with fans that take a big issue with him... because I'd have a lot more respect for him if he just said... Hey I felt like I had a good hand... and I played it. I wanted to go to NY and I made it happen. Fine, no problem... it worked out for Denver too... let's move on. But for Melo to be dishonest like this... and for Spears not to hold him accountable... is pure BS.

dont know why nuggets fans would be mad at melo. at least he let it be known he wanted to leave and got you guys some nice pieces in return. would you prefer if he did you like lebron and acted like he was gonna resign and then just left in free agency? he also let it be known to the knicks to give up more or else he would go to the nets or stay in denver, which helped the nuggets get even more return in the trade.
if i was a nuggets fan i would respect that very much. so often players leave in free agency, leaving their team nothing in return. like i said at least you got some nice pieces for him as well as cap space/flexibility.
