Would Denver be interested in doing NYK 1st + Nene TPE for Bargnani?

Denver's weakness is: 3 pt shooting / sharp shooter (like JJ Redick, Kyle Korver) and a big man that can post up (Pau Gasol) in the half court offense.
As a fan of both teams, I can say Bargnani is damaged goods. I don't think Denver would accept him in a trade. Most likely, we will have to amnesty him in Summer 2013. If Bargnani was making $5 million a year, then Denver or another team could be a trading partner, but $10 mil is a bit too much for Primo Pasta.
It would be interesting to see two Italians on one team in Bargnani and Gallo....in the unlikely scenario that would happen....maybe both would flourish and reach their potential

Bargnani brings that 3pt shooting and mismatches every night. I think a change of scenery would benefit him greatly and here in Denver, he's likely be coming off the bench. The TPE can't be used to sign anybody and that NYK pick will probably be somewhere around 25, That's a pretty cheap price for any player really.

The Raptors would have to give us a lotto pick to take on Bargnani. Not the other way around.

It costs considerable assets to dump a bad contract like Bargnani, especially if it was for a TPE. Which the Nuggets no longer have as it will be expired by the time trades are allowed.

The pick NY owes Denver is a 2014 1st round pick.

No one is asking for a lottery pick. Denver and New York are both playoff teams so neither pick is in the lottery.

With how bad NY is quickly becoming, it's a real possibility that it could be in the lottery next year.
Either way, it would still require much more value from Toronto for us to take on Bargnani to be a 10 mill a year, 20 mpg backup. We already have one, don't need another.

I thought the Nuggets already traded the NY pick to Orlando in the Iggy deal. Did we give up our pick and keep the NY one?

I believe Orlando will take the worse of the two picks.

And if we're worse than the Knicks at any point in the next few years, we have much greater issues to worry about.

Got it. So in other words, we traded our pick

yea, just saying if this trend keeps up we're looking at the #1 pick in the 2014 draft.
