Nuggets sign Nate Robinson

Reserve guard Nate Robinson has agreed to sign with the Nuggets for two seasons, a league source confirmed Monday.
The source confirmed that the two-year deal is for the bi-annual salary cap exception, which is $4.03 million combined.

Robinson, 5-foot-9 and 180 pounds, averaged 13.1 points, 4.4 assists and 24.4 minutes in 82 games last season with the Chicago Bulls. He made 141-of-348 (.405) 3-point attempts last season, which would rank higher than only two Nuggets — Wilson Chandler (.413) and Evan Fournier (.407) — who made more than 50 attempts in 2012-13.

his production & heart for 2 million a season is a pretty darn good deal.

now i'm just awaiting the news that andre miller has been traded. ideally for a 2 guard with some length who can shoot the ball.

rosters certainly shaping up into a bunch of guys that can shoot the basketball. with two super quick point guards, and two really good finishers....should be pretty effective in the halfcourt offense.

He was very comfortable in the last 2 games in SL.

I'm very happy with the landing of Nate Rob. He could be an ideal complement to Lawson.

OK, i think we have better roster than the last season, with a couple of guys who can shoot from the deep (Foye-Nate and maybe Hamilton, plus Wilson and Gallo).

Hickson and Robinson (whatever you think of them) are two big bang for your buck signings. I haven't thought the Nuggets got ripped off once so far this summer.

My understanding is that Andre Miller's contract is only guaranteed through this season. So a buyout is another option.

Not my first choice for a back up chuck guard... I mean point guard... but seeing Miller on the way out is nice.

Only makes sense if Miller is moved, but Robinson is a good scorer to have off the bench, plus he has never seemed like the type that a coach will dramatically overplay.

Bulls fan here. SO JEALOUS. Great deal. Tiny has the heart of a Lion and is incredible. He had some prolific performances for us. Honestly I'm going to really miss him. Such a great sparkplug.

Guys, I know a lot of you aren't gonna like this- but we've gotten some great, cheap contracts this summer. 4 million dollars for Nate is just mind blowing to me. I'm upset for him that he couldn't get more, but I'm glad for my team that at least he ended up with DEN.

I've never been a big fan of Nate and his punk attitude since that Nuggets/Knicks brawl, but this is a good deal considering his performance in the playoffs.

Give the front office some credit for filling out the roster with quality talent on bargain contracts. Hickson, Foye, and Robinson will be making roughly $10 million/year combined, which is still a few million less than we'd be paying Iguodala. All these guys are clearly going to help fix some of the glaring weaknesses from last year too.

Should be interesting to see what happens with Andre Miller, I can't imagine he's too excited about this signing.

our 3pt shooting should be better this year, i like that, the size and defense worries me a little but i'll wait to see what system Shaw implements to make any sort of judgement until January at least. Having Nate come off the bench for Ty seems like a great idea, replace speed with more speed.

Really hope Andre Miller is moved soon, although reports are that he's staying.

Great contract. Never been a huge fan, but can't deny that when he's on, hes easily one of the best scorers in the league, which is crazy for a guy that small. You also can't knock his heart, dude brings it. Perhaps the Brawl spoiled my opinion on him quite a bit, but this will be a good chance for him to change my view. Also very happy to have a lot of 3 point shooting on this team.

I didn't like Robinson earlier in his career, but over the years I came to appreciate him and last year when he joined the Bulls I came to love him. I ❤ N8 the Gr8. Big congratulations on landing him. A lot of Bulls fans are jealous.

Gotta love nate da great on any squad.. nuggets have the 3 most energizing players in the league (In my opinion) Faried, Low IQ McGee (who still can ball-up), and Nate. One of the best pound for pound athletes in the league.. His Heart makes up for height.. Nuggets nation got a rob on him..

Secondly.. a Lawson & Nate backcourt would be devastating for some teams to match up with. So don't be surprised if you see it come together.

This team's success will all be based on how shaw manages this team. For now that's all I'll say.. Big Nate fan here so i'll be posting here from time to time if I see a Robinson post/news.

Good move for the Nuggets, but I think we're still one more move from competing with 1-6 seeds.

Even though he would probably be a rental, Danny Granger is still on the block. If the Pacers would take Dre and a pick for Granger, that would clear up a lot of confusion at the 2 spot, despite Granger being a natural 3.

jumpy little bean. he'll be fan favorite, although don't see how rotations with ty will work. assuming nate wants more than 12 mpg, both of them will have to share some court time. don't know how that will turn out..

One thing Nate posses that many do not know is amazing endurance. Guy never gets hurt and he took some big hits.

There's highs & lows with Nate. The highs are WOW performances.. the lows are ahhmmgd facepalms. Never know which one you're going to get.
