I would guess it will probably continue into the season. Hickson is a better fit next to McGee because of his shooting spacing the floor for McGee to work the post more. I see Faried and him getting similar minutes, but Hickson is probably a better fit to start and play mainly next to McGee. Faried might be better suited for the reserve roll as well, although this might be Shaw challenging him to step up. I am curious how Arthur will fit into things at the 4 because he has looked solid in the preseason and is by far the best defender at the position.

i'm not liking the lineups so far.

i would much rather invest faried than hickson, nobody's expecting this season to be playoff successful anyway. this team isn't looking good so far.

McGee and Faried have never looked good next to each other, with neither one having a jumpshot the Nuggets need someone who can spread the floor.

Truth is that it would not surprise me to see Faried traded at some point this season, if the team truly believes in McGee and wants McGee to be the full time starter for the next few years, then they need a shooter at PF to spread the floor in a half court offense. Especially if Arthur is healthy Faried is a luxury and could be used to find an upgrade somewhere.

The one big part of the lineups that Shaw has used so far that I do not like is starting Foye, the guy is not good on defense, and while he got hot the last game, so far from what I have seen throughout the preseason Foye has been outplayed by every other player they have had at the 2.

Does anyone feel that our best two big man lineup is Mozgov and Faried?

One thing I hope does not happen is Shaw not playing Wilson Chandler at the 4. Easily his best and most efficient position imo.

It sounds like so far that he'll be used at the 3 and 2 when Gallo comes back. I'm gonna give Shaw a chance but I have to say that right now it looks like he's shaking things up just to shake things up.

That is what coaches tend to do in the preseason to give other guys looks with different lineups to get a feel for who plays well together. I am doubtful we will see much or any Anthony Randolph at the 3 this year, but he started the last game and from the looks of things, Durant made him pay. We will see what the rotation actually looks like once the seasons starts.
