Watching Fournier the last couple of games, I am wondering if part of his struggles does not come from being on the court with Nate so much, Nate likes to pound the ball at the beginning of the shot clock, and Fournier seems to be a guy who needs the ball in hands to get going.

also one thing these last few games has shown is that the Nuggets are not going anywhere if they do not give 100% effort every night, their defense in the middle with Hickson starting is terrible, and if the guards are not stopping guys in the backcourt they are getting right to the rim.

One other thing I am noticing right now, without Lawson and Gallo on the court, the Nuggets are limited in slashers, Robinson is capable but seems to avoid it, Fournier will do it but he has to have the ball in his hand, otherwise we have a bunch of put back guys and jumpshooters.

One thing I like about Shaw is that he doesn't have a set rotation to end games and just plays whoever is playing well or who he feels can win us the game.

Worked out great tonight, Hamilton just pretty much iced the game for us.

The stats didn't show it but I thought Fournier played good defense and made the right decisions on offense.

too much standing around for the majority of the game. agree with rebel, no slashers.

seeing how fournier is playing, i'd rather scrap him and try to resign hamilton for something decent.

Thank you J-Ham, that little hot streak won us the game.

We really need a defensive-minded big man, our interior defense is horrible.

Despite the missed shots I agree with eathb_au, Fournier played pretty well, his shot was way off.

Hamilton came through in the end, I really wish they would have picked up his option, to bad he is now going to be an unrestricted Free agent at the end of the season.

I don't know how the team is going to fix it, but they really need to find another center asap.

yep, lastest games from Faried were horrible.

Hickson never was a defender, but i think he is better defender in the post than Faried.

Our bigs are usually slower in the defensive help to the dribbling....

André Miller wants to play slow, and i think that it hurt our transition game too

Here's the thing: Nate is the type of player we've been trying to avoid the past couple years. So long as you have him on the team it's going to go up and down based on how he is playing. I suppose it will help save pg legs come playoff time, but it also fosters the type of play we don't want to see.

The purpose of having Koufos was to ensure our bigs could help wear teams down by sheer number. Four 7-footers is hard to compensate for for any opponent. Now you rotate four seven footers at mile high and you can see how we can reap dividends quickly.

The Pistons did this extremely well for a few years. Get one big in foul trouble, lookout we got 3 more monsters coming.

Just suits the Denver Nuggets better. Having superfluous guards has never worked out for us.

Nate would be great on some teams that has a ton of defense off the bench, but for some reason it has really bugged me to see him pounding the ball and throwing up bad shots, after watching those few games where Hamilton and Fournier seemed to have such a good 2 man game going.

I also agree, we need another center, right now the Nuggets have 3 PFs that deserve minutes and 1 center, and they are getting eaten alive in the middle when Mozgov is out.

They said it was still indefinite last night.

Finding a center is not so easy. McGee is at least 3 to 4 weeks out and his return is probably all you can expect without a trade (not likely). IMHO, the Nuggets will stand pat and wait for McGee.
