Andre Miller suspended

Cannot have a player getting in a coaches face during the game, but in a way Miller is right, it is disrespectful not to play him, and not to pull him aside and let him know what is going on.

Disrespect is a strong word, he's no first ballot HOF'er and he's stll getting paid. We all have our gripes with Dre but that being said he's been productive for a very long time, he probably deserved an explanation but he certainly can't act out like he did. Had to see this coming.

We all know he takes a lot of pride in not missing games, of course he's going to be upset about a DNP-CD. This isn't first time he's spoken out about his playing time but he has to know better than to pull a stunt like that in the middle of a game. As one of the few true veterans on this team, he should be setting an example for the younger guys. It's not like he's never been on a bad team before.
The real questions is, have we seen the last of Andre Miller in a Nuggets uniform? I think so, and I wonder if we can even get anything decent for him in a trade.

We don't know if Shaw said anything else.....he's being tight lipped about it. Could have just been a non-challant way he went about sitting him. I feel for Andre if he's spent all his career building that rep. and a new coach (who is not getting much success btw) is careless about it.
If we do end up trading Miller ......we get that SG we need. Afflalo, Shump, ......Morris? Idk depends on which team needs his services...

Sac and GS have some interest in Dre.

Dre to the Warriors for some expirings and their TE to absorb Foye's contract would be a good deal.
I don't know what the Kings have that we could use (maybe Jimmer although the Kings probably don't do that) but if Dre makes them a bit better then that is good for our lotto pick.

Would marcus Thornton be a good idea or not?
I know he can score, but I have heard about him and tunnel vision when he gets the ball

Jordan Hamilton can do everything Thornton can do at a lesser price so I wouldn't do that.
A risky option is Carl Landry who I wanted to sign in the off season and who would he a tremendous fit in what Shaw is trying to do but I don't know what the go is with him and his contact is kind of bad right now. Jimmer might be one to take a chance on but again, his contract is too small and he may not get out of the bench here.
In the end I would probably be willing to take their filler expirings just to make them better for draft purposes.

Maybe let's just trade him for some pizza and nachos!

As long as they are not expiring nachos.

I am not a Landry fan really, but would look into Thompson, he can at least be solid on both ends playing center for now.

Landry can score in the post but the Nuggets don't need another under-sized PF. Ferdette could be interesting, I think he could develop like JJ Redick. Dumping Dre for crumbs doesn't do this team much good, be nice to package him with another player to free up space.

Is there video online of the confrontation that led to his suspension?
**Edit** Nevermind. I found it.

So our needs are:
1) Jumpshooting consistency
2) True big
3) SG capable of making a positive impact
4) An actual post-up player who won't lose every matchup
This can come in probably a total of two players to comprise all of those qualities. A huge bonus is someone who we know for sure can hit threes without issue.

Suspension was rescinded....but he has to stay away from the team until the sixth. Only diff I see is that this way he gets paid

Bulls fan here and speaking on behalf of Bulls fans worldwide I'd love to take Andre off your hands. That is unless Nate is made available, but I think its safe to say that's not going to happen. I've heard the Nuggets have interest in Dunleavy so a deal is certainly feasible.
Denver in: Dunleavy, Hinrich, Snell
Chicago in: Andre, Foye
Denver gets solid bench scoring in MDJ, an expiring contract in Kirk and a potential role player for the future
Chicago gets a Rose mentor/2nd team general for next year and a scorer to replace MDJ.

http://www.sportsworldreport.com/articl ... dallas.htmDon't know how reputable this paper is, but found it a little interesting they are naming the other teams interested.
Looks like the Mavs and Bulls are also interested in Miller with of course the Warriors and Kings also still out there, I would not mind a trade for Larkin and filler from the Mavs.

http://www.cbssports.com/nba/writer/ken ... ets-millerreported options from the Kings
Fredette, filler, future 2nd round pick for Miller
thornton, future 2nd for Miller and filler
package around Thompson? for Miller.
Personally I would take thompson if you can add in Randolph or Hickson as Thompson is a decent center option to team with Mozgov.
Although Fredette or Thornton would not be the worst thing in the world.
