The Eventual Lineup

Post#1 » by pickaxe » Wed Nov 5, 2014 5:44 pm

Actually see this being the eventual starting lineup:

Ty Lawson
Arron Afflalo
Danilo Gallinari
Kenneth Faried
JaVale McGee

Until that time which these 5 guys are all set to go, Wilson Chandler, Mozgov, Nurkic etc. will be used interchangeably to provide a solid starting five.

We have to remember even after going through numerous decent seasons, not all the questions are answered in the first couple of months. Many players need to establish themselves. A few need to play well with guys who have been out.

I think the best mantra for these guys to follow in the first 60 days is just make sure their jumpshot is sharp, play defense like they did in game 1, and let the cream rise to the top.

Many of the guys on this roster may have already mentally prepared to be role players, contingent upon who ends up stepping up and being the starters.

Can someone give me an update on Gallo?

His stats look bad, but how is he phisyically?

How is his offense and defense and what do you expect from around december, january?

Does Shaw like playing McGee and Faried together? I haven't been able to watch much of this season yet. There's minimal post offense there. I know Karl wouldn't play those two together much.

You could put any two of this lineup together and there's not a ton of magic happening.

That being said, JaVale and Faried ideally bring a huge presence inside for offensive boards and putbacks. Good idea to use that......when your shots aren't falling. *cough*

I'd be more than willing move Faried too, but I agree with your sentiment.

In other news, Evan Fournier is basically putting up the Orlando-Afflalo numbers except more efficient.
