Predict the roster in 20 days

Post#1 » by Powder Blue » Mon Feb 2, 2015 3:24 pm

Ty/Nelson
Foye/Harris/?
Gallo/?
Faried/JJ/Arthur
Mcgee/Nurkic

I really think AA/Chandler get moved, great pieces for a contender. I don't know that the Nets budge on our JJ/Mcgee/1st for Lopez.

Shaw won't be fired during the season.

There's an article on the homepage saying we're offering our 1st Rd pick, jj and mcgee for Lopez. I want that 1st rounder but getting lopez can be a good move for the team. Nurkic and lopez is a good center rotation and each have size and strength. Let's see how this plays out

Lawson/Nelson
Harris/Green/??
Chandler/Gallo/Gee
Faried/Hickson/Arthur
Nurkic/McGee

I see AA and Foye being traded, don't see Nets giving up on Lopez and us keeping Chandler.

I'm against moving Afflalo. Everyone can admit he is dedicated to this team. Everyone can admit he's not hitting shots early. I would rather double down on his integrity and dedication right now than risk Iggy Part 2. Yes, we do have to decide at some point, I just don't think it's right now.

Wilson is hustling more....I just don't know how his +/- translates to the team. He does hit big shots but do we simply go with Gallinari since we started with that horse and have Wilson work on his game in the 2nd unit with Jameer. I think he'd the perfect backup right now even if it's just to work on holding leads etc.

We can't ignore what worked so well while it still exists. While it is here, and in this form, we must go with the crew that can net us wins. Ty/Afflalo/Gallinari/Faried/McGee

At least run that lineup into the ground instead of nursing the injury period unendingly. Those injuries cost us, and we did not officially return to our winning lineup yet. It deserves a month or two.

We have to remember that moving folks that have been starting to the second unit will give the starters that do start more confidence. More firepower on both sides, more confidence leads will be held.

I don't advocate moving AA because he's not a serviceable player....It's quite the opposite

#1 He'll be in high demand the next couple weeks
#2 He has a player option for about $7 mil next year, I think he'll opt out and go get a 30-40 mil mulit-year deal elsewhere

Given all that you might as well get a lil something for him before he walks for nothing...and improve our draft standings.

**** it trade them all but the rookies, including Shaw. OF course you may have to keep McGee and Gallo, but that is not on purpose.

nelson/expiring contract
Harris/ expiring contract/ Green
Gallo/ Gee
arthur/expiring contract
Nurkic/ McGee

So could a lot of players that come to take his place. That's the thing. Afflalo will stay if you want him to stay.

If the Nuggets had bathwater, don't throw the baby out with the bathwater. Other players are perfectly capable of being subjected to the same bad coaching.

Maybe you don't bring back a player....bring back a salary you intend to buyout or a pick. Send him to OKC, help them win, boost them up in the standings which would give us that first round pick this coming offseason.

Exactly, given the culture that is here right now, AA is doubtful to come back right now. He's already had words with Shaw, get an asset for him
