In the trade, we sent the okc 1st Rd pick we owned to philly. If you asked me yesterday, I would tell you it's a good trade because the chances of okc being of the top 11 teams in the league are unlikely right now. Thing is, okc is now about to acquire Brook Lopez from bk for reggie Jackson.

If I had to guess, I would say that okc with Brook Lopez will probably be one of the top 3 teams league wide post all star break. I'd say now, okc has a legitimate chance at finishing with a better record than Cleveland and Chicago (which would basically mean that the rights of the pick go to whoever owns the pick.)

Is Tim conolly thinking these scenarios through? It's to early to be mad about a pick that hasn't finalized in terms of who gets it, but something is telling me we just gave up a 1st rounder just to get rid of mcgee.

the picks we've acquired from Portland are also very questionable. Last couple weeks, all the Denver fans have said we want more picks, but you would hope that the picks we go after don't have stipulations attached to them. Outside of our own picks, all the picks we've acquired from other teams may very well either stay with the other team or fizzle out into 2nd rounders. Most disappointing day of the season I must say.

First of all, Kroenke,oh I mean Connelly, is just acquiring tinker toys for Shaw to play with while saving Silent Stan several million dollars.

Secondly, I'll bet you that OKC does not pick up 5 games on the Bulls down the stretch and probably not 3 games on the Cavs either.

It's too early too tell, but considering brook is bigger, stronger, and more skilled than perk and Adams, I'd say okc is pretty scary. Them getting Lopez is way bigger of a move than when the cavs got mozzy. Westbrook and Durant have never played with a post player.

I agree that COULD be scary. At the same time, Lopez fitting in could also be more of a problem with only 29 games left than Mozgov doing so in Cleveland.

Lopez biggest talent is scoring rather than rebounding or D. So, with his 15.3 SPG to go with Westbrook's 20.4 and Durant's current 17.4 - which will likely get closer to his career average of 19.1 as time goes on - there may be trouble adjusting.

I'd heavily disagree on Lopez being a low block player. The dude seems scared now to go to the post and most of his shots are errant jump shots from 16-20 at a clip of just 39%. His stats are what I call empty ones since he's such a high usage player that he takes away touches from other players. The Nets play better when he's off the floor due to the fact that he's a liability on defense and offense slows down with him on the floor. But if OKC is just giving up Jackson and junk, they will go for it in order to appease Durant. Oh and don't forget the fact that the dude's health is always a huge problem.

Plus the OKC pick isn't going to be much special if anything, but it'd be nice to land it this year, but at least they dumped McGee who was just about done in Denver and got a large TPE out of him.

Andre Miller to Sacramento. Boogie's going to get some sore shins with all those oops.

Appears Kanter from UTH to OKC rather than Lopez......this isn't going to put OKC in the 19th+ spot so it will be next year's pick in all probability.

As for the POR pick, their 2015 1st is likely to be 24+ so why not gamble a bit, can't get much worse but could get a lot better if LMA leaves.
