Didn't see this coming until at least the offseason.

Right move or did he get an unfair chance?

Who replaces him?

Finally, now maybe I will not hate wasting time watching this team that should have been so much better.

Maybe they can hire Tom Thibodeau after the Bulls fire him at the end of the season as more and more are saying is likely to happen.

I'm sure that he and JoshBoy would get along splendidly.

LOL!

WOW!

I made the previous post - jokingly - before going on to ESPN and watching Chris Broussard actually suggest that the Nuggets might look at Thibs if he become available.

I don't know which I would find more astonishing if Thibs is fired, JK really going after him OR Thibs being willing to take the job.

which coach will be able to bring danilo back to his prominence of 16ppg? lmao
glad to see shaw outta here, but im just hopeful that now people can actually start the access the true value of these players who've managed to avoid the blame over the last 2 seasons. Will Barton came from a team where he would only play garbage minutes, and is now our leading scorer and most efficient scorer. Our starters are bench role players on other teams.

i predict the players trying to play harder tonight due to the firing but we'll still get punched by 13

The only problem with the timing is that it's going to spark a bit of a fire under the players and now I can see them winning some games.

Whoever they hire will probably determine if Ty and Faried stay or go. If Thibs is available and they get him (my first choice) Ty and Faried are gone. If they go fast paced with D'Antonio or someone like him, I would bet they stay.

At this point I would be perfectly happy running other teams into the ground rather than our own team.

Just be ready to defend when we get our next playoff run. Just be ready to defend. If our defense is making teams tired, the whole world opens up.

This is a good day. Faried and Lawson should feel pretty safe. Ettore Messina deserves an interview after the Spurs finish up.

Not the best move in regards to the tank, but this culture was going to ruin our rookies. I really hope Hunt can restore some form of positivity in the locker room.

I'd be surprised if Shaw ever get a head coaching opportunity in this league again. If you can't motivate your players or even get them to respect you, you have no chance.

Shaw may have had a chance at another job in the league a few years from now until he opened his mouth and admitted he is having trouble communicating with his players, and he is trying to read a book to figure it out. Even if it was true you do not publicly admit that as a head coach in a major professional sport.

Well, openly criticizing specific players isn't helping build good relations with the team or building trade value either....damned if you do, damned if you don't ....just keep it in-house. That's was one of my biggest complaints with Shaw. Timing was strange but he really had to go. no doubt

Timing on this is surpising, he did need to go. I was onboard with the hiring but it was a square peg round hole situation.

I think the Nuggets gotta get back to running, not GK style but half their games are played a mile above sea-level, that needs to be used to the teams advantage. Thibs def ain't the coach for that. D'antonio maybe but I'd be weary of him as well.

I think most of us on here also know this will only address some of the problem. I think Hunt will foster an environment better suited for the young players but this roster still needs a lot of work.

What Shaw wants to do just doesn't fit the franchise, elevation, personnel, etc. And instead of making a slow turn to his style he wanted to pull the parking brake. This was a front office blunder, and Shaw took the job because he really wanted a head coaching job. He was destined to fail from the beginning. It's just good that Lawson and Faried didn't get sent off in this Shaw failed experiment.

Di'Antoni would have the experience of going through the playoffs. A system of 7 seconds or less would help these guys too.....make a damn decision......holding the ball and standing around has been the biggest universal complaint across all seasons and all types of fans. Even in our best year we complained of the role players being star struck and standing around.

Get Billups in here as a GM or Co-GM and just have his presence now and again during home stretches....goes a long way if we could get that.

He sucked in Denver but he COULD be good in Orlando. They look like their players have much higher morale to ours.

What's funny is that Orlando has a much brighter future than this organization.
