Oops, I mean Melvin Hunt.
Lawson, Faried, Gallo and Chandler get the minutes and lead the way to a game that looked more like Karl's Nuggets than they have for half a season now.
I would have no problem with Hunt being made permanent HC and it doesn't just have to do with tonight's win.

He's definitely qualified. I don't think that's a bad idea at all.

I want to see what this team can do once the joy of not having to play for Shaw wears off, but last night looked promising, if for no other reason than his rotations made sense given the current state of the roster, and he was up working the players and the refs.

Re: Welcome back George Karl
The two Denver Post clowns who pose as sports columnists, Kiszla and Hochman, gave no mention whatsoever today of the possibility of Hunt even being considered for the job long term.
Kiszla, for the first time I've ever seen, actually trashed JoshBoy but only for the way Shaw's firing was handled. He continues to put virtually all the blame on the players.
Hochman was out in La-La land with a column explaining why - in his mind - Chauncey Billups needs to be the next head coach. If Billups actually wants to be a head coach, I hope he is smart enough to understand that coaching for Kroenke is definitely NOT the place to start his career.
Meanwhile the ESPN and other talking heads out there are mentioning names like Mike D'A and Mark Jackson, both of whom would be a big mistake. while also suggesting Alvin Gentry and Avery Johnson who are more worth thinking about.
The biggest joke - but meant seriously - was a N.Y. Daily News sportswriter on ESPN's The Herd saying that Nuggets management has professed interest in talking about the job to Mike Miller after his season is over.

I wonder if Shaw is watching the Nuggets, he has to be thinking..."OHHHH, that's what a winning Denver Nuggets team looks like"

Remember when George Karl was out coached by mark jackson, Mike dunlevy sr, and scotty brook?
Brian shaw got screwed in Denver. No team that would quit on their coach completely is to be taken seriously. Especially when 1 of the players (faried) just got way more money than he's worth yet still can't make a post move. Run and gun is cool and all but our overall talent is sh! T. What teams are the nuggets locking up to run and gun in the playoffs? We've never played defense.
I'm rocking with Portland next season if things don't change.

Shaw was out coached by every coach in the league, he was hands down the worst coach in the league, so how exactly did he get screwed?
By the way part of the job of any manager let alone a coach of a professional sports league, is to get your employees to buy in and give effort, the fact that Shaw could not do that indicates just how good of a coach he is.

Why wait...especially if all you want to do is complain rather than stick it out thought thick and thin like true fans do ???
