Gallo's re-emergence

Well, this is a good sign going forward, Gallo has averaged 17ppg, 2.8 threes, 3.7 rpg and 1.5 steals since the All-Star break. Can't say I think he's 100% back to healthy, but this is really good to see going forward. I'm sure Hunt will continue starting him and it definitely will change the outlook going into the draft and next year.
Thoughts ?

We also haven't played any good teams besides okc since all star break....

It takes a full 2 years for basketball players to regain their health after an injury like Gallo's, so I have been expecting him to start looking better by the end of this year. Personally my only issue with Gallo is his injury problems, without those I would trade Chandler at the draft and sign a guy like Gee this summer, but with his health you are stuck carrying another guy capable of playing a ton of minutes for this team.

Hopefully his recuperative powers will be commensurate with his age, he's only 26.

It's a good sign, but it's nothing we haven't seen before. Every time he gets on a roll like this, he winds up suffering another major injury. I'd love to see Gallo come into training camp 100% next year.

ALWAYS Been a big fan of gallo since being a Knicks board mod back in the day. I think he is the type of guy that can impact the game in many ways, good at a lot of things, but not great at any one thing.. but a guy who can do a bit of everything. He has been playing well and when he plays well, denver seems to function better.
He is still relatively young at just 26, but has to remain healthy. Would like to see Denver add some depth at wing and PG...

Gallo is clearly 1 of 3 if we had a big three. He's also 1 of 3 when he's the only guy scoring.
Here's my food for thought on Gallo: if you were to pick any two superstars around Gallo, who would they be? Better yet, let's pick some second superstars and then you pick the third.
Gallo and +
Ray Allen ++ ...who would the third superstar be?
Demarcus Cousins ++ ...who would the third superstar be?
Rondo ++ ...?
LaMarcus Aldridge ++ ...?
Russell Westbrook ++ ...?
Kevin Durant ++ ...?
Lebron James ++ ...?
Ok, so basically pick a third superstar for those combos and maybe suggest ones that aren't fantasy status atm. The idea is to go for established superstars not just up and comers.

Well, see now I have to call into play Carmelo's overall health plan. He probably needed a Gallo-type SF alongside him to be a constant influence, but the one thing Melo brought was the ability to pace himself for the long run. He was a workhorse in terms of not getting long term injuries. Whether he could have pushed himself harder at certain moments and captured at least 1 ring by now is his downfall, but he was a long term uninjured player.
So.....we have Gallo. Are we better off team fit wise? Probably. Do we have iron men on the team?
The goal should be to not waste time when the dude is healthy. Any player can be injured at any time, and chronic injured can visit that player. We just have to not take our windows of opportunity for granted.

That's the kind of play I have been expecting to see from Gallo, even before he got hurt. Seems like he's still recovering, Rebel says it take 18=24 month to get back to your full potential. Look forward to seeing him next season, I can see him averaging 18-21ppg next year and opening up the middle for Nurkic to work.

Gallo went for 40pts/7rebs/4asts in 33mins...I know it's just Orlando, but pretty efficient, 6-13 on 3pts and 12-21 overall.

Does this replace Mo Williams' 50 point game as the most random great scoring game of the season? I'm definitly checking out the highlights in the morning.

Another shooting spectacular by Gallo, 47pts in a double OT thriller ...just can't see letting this guy get traded.

I love this guy. He was one of my favourite players but then got hurt, the Nuggets started sucking and I lost track of him a bit.
What has been the word on his injuries. Just unlucky or does he have a chronic issue? Can he come back to play to his full potential or have the injuries taken athleticism away from him(kind of like Rose).
He looked pretty good against the Mavs, attacking the basket and getting to the line... playing with some of the reckless abandon that we love but that also contributes to him getting hurt.

If this kind of play is any indication for the future, Gallo could be as important as any draft pick next season.

Is Denver thinking about holding onto him?

I think most anyone on the Nuggets is available for the right offer. Poor offers, we'll keep him, great offer, he's gone.

Right now Gallo is probably the Nugget they want to keep out of them all. He may also be the one other teams would want most.
