Green Light to Shoot?

Assuming they are open, which of the Nuggets has or should have a green light to shoot?

Under 15 feet: All of them (there are some players in the league that would not qualify)
15 feet & out for 2s: Everyone except Faried & Nurkic
3s: Harris, Gallinari, Chandler, Jokic, Barton, Mudiay (but some of them need more practice)

If they are open, every player on the roster has a green light. Otherwise, seems that Gallo and Mudiay are the go to guys and will likely have the most shot attempts. Jokic and Nurkic could step up more offensively. Range is dictated by position for most part. Wings on the outside, bigs on the inside and pg driving and scoring from everywhere.

Here is the problem the Nuggets have to address: where is the offense going to come from? Ideally, you need that strong scorer who consistently makes contested shots. Where on the court it happens is less important than efficiency. Mudiay has to improve but it is too soon to rely on him now. I hope the Nuggets find an answer soon.

I'm okay with Mudiay having the greenlight as he needs to improve his jumpshooting.

I'm actually okay with everyone on the roster. As long as it's not something like the Corey Brewer days where he jacked up 3s at a terrible %.

So a couple folk said "everybody if they are open". If Faried is standing at the three-point line; you want him to shoot? If I'm the coach on the other team, I tell them to never guard Faried at the three point line. That's an example here. Nelson, Lauvergne, and Nurkic shot below 30% from 3pt. What about them?

Nelson took half of his shots, or thereabouts, from 3pt range. Should the coach put a red light on him?
Lauvergne & Nurkic took less than one 3pt shot per game.

Faried is not playing on offense at the 3 point line. At least he better not. He's a rebounder and he will take an open 12 footer. If he were in position at the 3 point line and open he very well might hoist up a shot; he has in the past although thankfully not that often. Position is a factor in where shots are coming from and bigs (except for stretch forwards) are inside. Jokic is the exception but then he is exceptional. Wings, stretch forwards and PGs are the ones you want taking 3 pointers.
