It's been a while since I've complained about refs, but oh my GOD.
Still might pull it out though.
Murray was great in the 4th

Tough loss...up by 1 with .04 seconds to go, Conley steals from Mike Miller only to see Gasol pop one with under a second to go....

Just don't get why Nurkic was replaced by Faried who had to guard Gasol who is at least 5 inches taller than him.
Still can't close out.

Think we are just going to have to accept that we are not a playoff team in the West. We've lost to the two teams that would be fighting for that 8th seed (and Detroit if you want to include them) in the West and truth be told we are unable to beat the really average fringe playoff teams. We are just not ready. We SHOULD be ready but we aren't. Jokic, Harris, Mudiay have gone backwards this year which is disappointing.

Coach's call - it's not the first time you've scratched your head over some of his rotations, but this might be the craziest decision he's made. If they needed a 3pt shot, I'd get that matchup. But the Nuggets had trouble all night stopping Gasol around the rim. Faried bothered him about as much as Malone would have bothered him.

What a bad sub not having a tall guy to defend the basket last night...Mudiay had a great line except the TO's...22 total is way too many. At least the Nuggets weren't the only ones who blew a lead at the end last night...

We have to trade Faried asap, just because Malone is over using him in wrong situations...

Hmm, .7 seconds to go. They are behind by one point. It doesn't take a genius to figure out they only need one basket. It doesn't take a genius to figure out they will want their best player to get the ball. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that close to the basket is a better shot than a long ways away from the basket.
Gallinari guarding the in-bounds, nice tall guy. Nurkic on Gasol - our best big on their best big. Jokic near Gasol also. If they put two people down low (they did), then we have two big guys. If they don't put two people down low then we zone up with two guys trying to guard three - giving their worst shooter the best shot. The outside Nuggets may or may not bother him. We may or may not win, but the odds favor us better than Gasol over Mudiay. Memphis out-coached us in those .7 seconds. It happens. The team that is out-coached the most usually loses. That's why we play the game. Coaches coach and players play and fans gripe about both of them. (We impress ourselves with our "Monday morning quarterbacking" - like I just did.)

It's hard to find an article criticizing Malone for the last play in this game. I guess reporters and writers are afraid they'll lose their ability to get interviews in the future if they say something bad.

Consider when this happened...Malone's coaching decision wasn't top of mind to many people wed morning.

Yep, that's true, but sports writers still wrote about the game. None commented on Malone's coaching decision.
Just because someone either likes or doesn't like the results of a presidential election doesn't mean they stop doing their job.
It's not like it's a National Day of Mourning. It's not like it's a National Holiday celebrating the results.
They wrote their articles. They ignored his poor decision. Tsk, tsk for them not doing their job.

Regardless whether an article was written or not, you don't thing the Nuggets FO noticed it...and which is more important ??

I think it's more important to avoid the truth and any potential criticism so they can keep their job and not do their job.
