Utah's playing fairly well and Gobert is playing like a monster <sigh> It's probably not going to be a pretty game unless Denver decides to actually play with energy and desire.

Allow a 31-8 run, why are all the veterans playing so much?

Because Malone believes they will give us a chance to win.....what he doesn't know is that most of them aren't willing (or don't know how )to play the proper defense that will make that happen

It is not just defense, it is the offense as well. It is terrible. With defense it is a lack of effort and coming out of the locker room with no urgency, both go on the coaches and the players. With the offense I have become more and more convinced that Finch is the primary problem especially after last night.

Last year the Rockets were criticized for minimizing their bigs, especially Howard, and for Harden being selfish and always going one on one. They also considerably under performed expectations last year barely getting into the playoffs. This year in Denver You have Gallo and Nelson both playing a considerable amount of time trying to go one on one, and our young bigs are being minimized. A few times last night I saw Gallo get the ball and the whole side cleared out, and he was just looking around like WTF am I supposed to do? Gallo has always been great playing as a team in a ball movement offense, and has never been a one on one guy. We just do not have the talent to even have a decent offense with the same set up that the Rockets had last year, when they had a top 5 player in the NBA and could barely squeeze into the playoffs. at this point Finch needs to be fired, and I do not care if Malone stays or goes, if he stays than he has to find someone who can implement a real offensive system.

Malone wants the young players to learn from the vets - looks like it's working. <sigh>

Definitely agree that both Gallo and Nelson (and Chandler with some better results) have taken to the isolation plays trying to control the offense, which is poor examples of unselfish team plays.

And someone else mentioned earlier we aren't playing up tempo anymore. Hate the "offensive coordinator" of this team, creates a very stagnate offense

No sarcasm there. Malone does indeed want the young players to learn from the vets. He has stated that. Most of the people on this board are saying it's working. Two facts - with a sigh of frustration. 8-)
