On the forum I used to be on (that shut down, don't blame me LOL), they did a report card on the Nuggets for each game. It was something like the one at the following link:
http://milehighsports.com/nuggets-report-card-122616-nuggets-106-clippers-102/

To sum this one up:

Emmanuel Mudiay: C+ (+4)
9 points (3-of-7 FG, 2-of-5 3P,), 2 rebounds, 0 assists, 2 steals, 18 minutes.
Gary Harris: B (+7)
10 points (2-of-9 FG, 1-of-4 3P,), 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 30 minutes
Wilson Chandler: D (-7)
2 points (1-of-4 FG), 4 rebounds, 3 assist, 29 minutes
Danilo Gallinari: A (+10)
23 points (5-of-12 FG, 2-of-5 3PT, 11-of-12 FT), 11 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 steals, 37 minutes
Nikola Jokic: A+ (+17)
24 points (11-of-16 FG), 10 rebound, 4 assists, 3 steals, 32 minutes
Will Barton: A (+7)
23 points (8-of-14 FG, 3-of-6 3PT, 4-of-5 FT) 6 assist, 8 rebounds, 32 minutes
Jamal Murray: C (-1)
2 points (1-of-3 FG), 1 rebound, 11 minutes
Jameer Nelson: B- (0)
5 points (2-of-10 FG), 6 assist, 1 rebound in 29 minutes
enneth Faried: B- (-17)
8 points (3-of-7 FG, 2-of-2 FT), 10 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block, 18 minutes

Mudiay only plays 18 minutes with ZERO assists and he gets a C+? Why??
Harris shoots 2-9 and gets a B? Why?
Gallinari shoots 2-5 and gets an A? He did get 11 rebounds but isn't he supposed to get more shots? I like the 23 points but no player deserves an "A" if they don't have the D-fense!
Jokic gets an A+? Yes, I love the guy and he had a very nice double-double but if we are running the offense through him, he needs more than 4 assist - but maybe that's on the coaching - OK, an "A" for sure, but "A+" should mean something like "Best game of the season" shouldn't it?
Murray gets a C? Doesn't C mean "average"? That was a sub-average game for Harris - Do you really think he was happy with his stat line?
Nelson shoots 2-10 and gets a B-? He had a decent game and contributed in other ways, but B-? More like a C- Just don't think he would have said that was a good game for him personally

C=Player has his average game
B=Player has an average game and above average in one or two areas - must include offense and defense
A=Player has a game well above his average in multiple categories
D=Player had an off-night in two or more categories
F=Player wishes he had taken the night off and so does the coaching staff and the fans

That would be how I'd grade things.
Shouldn't "grading a game" include every player that plays? Sure.
Should it include a grade for "Starters" as a collective? Why not?
Same with the bench? Might be more important than the "Starters".
How about a grade for coaching?
