Brooklyn's a lot worse than Sacramento plus it's a home game. Of course none of that matters if the Nuggets decide not to play with energy and effort - again. At least they have their built-in excuse: back-to-back plus Brooklyn was off last night. Then again, they should be fresh after walking more than they hustled last night. <sigh>

Can someone tell Malone that 6 is the foul limit and not 4?

One shot attempted by Jokic, way to develop your up and coming player. Gallinari ,Nelson and Barton are cancer for this team , they should have been traded . Malone hopefully get canned before the start of the next season.

Is there a reason why Jokic only have 1 attempt at shooting the ball?

Is he choose to pass more or opponent doubleteam him? I didn't watch the game so I'm not sure

He was usually running the show when he was on the court (which is 14 minutes  ) and didn't really have an opportunity to shoot. It's not like Sacramento game.

Jokic was in foul trouble and limited. He also appeared frustrated with his play and made some silly fouls. Plumlee played well and the Nuggets won easily.

Malone constantly says Jokic is in foul trouble. The guy only had 4 fouls in this game and is averaging 3.1 fouls per game so far this year.

Not sure what game you were watching. Jokic didn't even touch the ball on multiple possessions. He sometimes just stood along the baseline. Of course getting less than 15 minutes in the game, certainly didn't help. If he's the man that the team is being built around, shouldn't he be playing more? 4 fouls isn't an excuse; play him until he gets 6 fouls. He's demonstrated an ability to get fouls and then avoid getting more, if Malone would trust him instead of jerking him around.

Of course he didn't have an opportunity , Nuggets started their offense with Gallinari ,Nelson and others shooting , just like against Sacramento , this time Jokic didn't have to wait 4,5 minutes to attempt his first shot of the game , because he picked up 2 early fouls (which under most NBA coaches and especially Malone means bench time) :P , looked to me out of frustration, but again there is no reason for him to take only one shot for the entire game and that made basket came off Jokic's rebound , if I remember correctly. I mean its dumb to advertise Jokic as the face of your franchise , and then your coach ignores you , or don't have any plays for you on the offensive end , just because you are in the minor shooting slump, kind of :) Instead of encouraging your player like Minnesota is doing with KAT, your coach is doing the opposite , why have Jokic in the game at all if you wont use him on the offense, he's not defensive anchor and he never will be, but we saw what he can do when he's playing with confidence, posting triple double against best team in the league, scoring 40 points in the game etc . This game against Nets will be temporary mask for Malone , Nuggets have beaten very bad team , Plumlee had a good role , shots went in, but Nuggets will play much better teams than Nets and they need motivated Nikola, Plumlee is a nice player but he's not on Jokic's level . I tried not to criticize Malone much on this board , but its evident that he lacks some backbone, he's afraid to "offend" his veteran players so they are allowed to take as many shots they want and they also have a lot of freedom on the court , on the other end , younger guys on the team, who are supposed to carry your club for the next 8-10 years are mistreated. Malone already mismanaged Jokic in the beginning of the season and for the less degree Nurkic as well , Jokic could easily walk out of Denver next year and I wouldn't like that, but he will have plenty of suitors , Nuggets have to decide either have Jokic as their focal point or try to trade him and get something for him and have Plumlee as your franchise center.

I didn't watch the first quarter but he did took over the offense after, or at least I got that impression specifically in the 3rd quarter. He had around 4 assist then and lead several fast breaks but yeah. He did stand a lot, usually when Gallinari was doing 1 vs 5 attacks but I didn't feel like they completely forgot about him like in the previous game. Benching him after the 4th foul was especially strange, I really can't get my head around it

In a blowout like this you might as well sit Jokic to teach him discipline about his fouling, Jokic does make some dumb fouls and he'll learn. As for the FO needing to decide to keep as their focal point or trade him...... They answered that question at the trade deadline and have been 100% committed to Jokic the whole time.

If they weren't committed to Jok Paul George would be on our team right now.

Any reason why the Nuggets are starting Faried over Chandler who has outplayed him pretty much the whole season?

Kinda sucks how we have abandoned the Jokic that was regularly putting up 20/10/5 on elite percentages.

It's actually mind boggling that a coach would replace Jokic's minutes rather than play the new center IN ADDITION to him.

We have too much depth and I'm tired of the ex-Knicks guys and Jameer Nelson and can't wait until they're gone, but when they go I hope Malone goes with them.

Jokic doesn't like play PF, and he is right, play with another true center hold his skills.

His "dumb fouls" have been reduced to once every 3 or 4 games. That was one of my pet peeves about him. The problem is, that bigs that don't play much (like Jokic, especially last year), tend to get lazy and use their fouls to stop plays. Bigs that don't take many fouls are usually super-stars or they aren't playing defense. Like I said earlier, he's averaging 3.1 fouls per game and rarely fouls out. Yanking him because of 4 fouls and not putting him back in, all that's going to do is make him afraid of fouling - and most fouls come on defense. Of course the No-D Enver Nuggets don't seem to care about defense, so maybe that's what Malone truly wants - no defense.

and oh by the way, Plumlee averages 3.3 fouls per game - higher than Jokic. Have you heard any complains from Malone about Plumlee's fouls? What was Chandler's complaint? Consistency! Maybe consistency in how players are treated was what he meant and not consistency in minutes.
