Nelson out - illness
Faried out - lower back
So how much PG will Barton play?

We won. Another triple double for Jokic. Everyone play well. Though, some FG% of Murray & Mudiay ain' that good.

Not much to complain about. Murray w/Jokic is a nice pairing. Murray plays PG and lets Jokic play point-center. They compliment each other well. It seemed like the bench did not let Plumlee be a facilitator but they still did OK, even with too much Barton dribbling. The whole team shot poorly from 3pt. Defense seemed a little better than normal for the starters, but a little worse than normal for the bench. Mudiay played fairly well on offense and defense, especially for his first game back. Overall, I thought everyone seemed to give a good effort and that's the most important part of winning basketball. I liked it.

Damn no Nelson and our defense actually looked decent even with a rookie that many criticized for his defense coming into the draft. Despite the shooting I though Murray played about the best you could expect from a rookie PG making his 1st start at PG.
Anybody else wonder if the Nuggets coaching staff reads this board? Often when we discuss something on this board it seems a game or two later the Nuggets are doing just what we discussed. Tonight it was putting Mudiay on the court with a couple of shooters in Hernangomez and Arthur, Mudiay played very well in the 1st half and we continued to build the giant lead we had in the 1st half. 2nd half only 1 shooter, and Mudiay struggles, when are the coaches going to realize that Mudiay can room a good bench system utilizing Plumlee's passing and having at least 2 shooters on the court with him, put Murray as a permanent starter and let's see what happens. I think we still get the 8th seed.
What can you say about Jokic, 2 triple doubles in a row, taking selfies with fans right after the game both nights, and finally starting to direct the offense when he gets the ball. This kid is already special and should still get better.
Anybody else see the Bucks starting lineup? I know Brogdon has been good for a rookie, and Maker has shown potential, but Snell is the best they could come up with at SF? Man their depth is pretty bad. GIannis is not enough to carry that roster with Middleton still trying to come back and Parker out. so maybe they are tanking again, but 2 rookies, a 2nd year player, and a Dleaguer and they are reportedly trying to win? Their vets are all coming off the bench and they are not very good. I actually feel bad for Bucks fans, as we often forget how lucky we are to have so many young very very talented prospects that are good enough for us to want to see them over vets that would start for many other teams, and they have not had a winning season in 7 years while trying to build that team.

The ball movement was the best I have seen out of Nuggets team in a long time.

By my calculation the Nuggets also had a 106.5 defensive rating, or about 6.7 better than their typical game, and that was with the lackluster defense in the 3rd quarter. That rating would put us as a top 5 defensive team in the league as opposed to dead last, even if you discount it because of the Bucks lack of talent our defense was considerably better tonight, especially in the 1st half.

I love when we run our offense through Jokic. His passing is contagious and when we move the ball we are a VERY good offensive team, just ask Golden State. It's pretty special when you have a C that has the vision and basketball IQ of a PG.

I thought the Nugs usually struggle on the 2nd game of a back to back. Glad they pulled this one off. Sucks that i don't get to watch Murray's first start as a PG.

The Nuggets usually struggle when they aren't playing well, but other than that, I haven't figured out a pattern yet and that's the truth!

I am still not happy that Jokic is deferring to his teammates on the offensive end , there is no way he should take less shots per game than Gallinari, Murry, Cahndler,Nelson etc. He's way too good of a scorer to play third or fourth fiddle on this team, I know he's involved on the offense with his facilitating for others, but for this team and him to take that next step , he has to score 20 + per game , and I am pretty sure he can do that easily , but there are too many selfish players on this team, they often ignore Jokic , when he's in a good position to score , they decide to take shots for themselves ,that's also on the coach Malone, more and more I dislike Gallinari as a player , I hope Nuggets don't try to resign him over the summer, he only look for him self, that's why he never won anything in his career , he's one of the most self centered players in the league. When he was out due to injury, Nuggets didn't miss a bit of his offense, so that wont be the issue If he's not a member of this team next season.

Well the point of the offense is to encourage backdoor cuts and with the stretch 4 lineups he doesn't have the easy lob out of the double/cut off. He's not just deferring to his teammates because he's mentally soft or whatever.
At Chicago he had a great moment in the 2nd half where he pulled up on Robin Lopez to keep him out of the paint, and it led to an easy cut at the rim on the very next play.
Also that ball movement in the first half looked unstoppable. We hit our shots, which is the other half of the battle, but I think there's definitely some chemistry developing and that's always good.

The Gallo/Chandler duo has been great since the All-Star break. Gallinari's scoring and his elite ability to get to the free throw line is going to be so valuable if the Nuggets make the playoffs. And did none of you guys see Chandler shut down Jimmy Butter and Giannis in back-to-back nights? Those two are more important to this team than anyone here gives them credit for.

Hmm, do you really think we didn't see that or do you think maybe that is what we expect from Chandler? Some of us like him greatly.
