Looks like Lydon has found the greatest reason to be a Denver Nugget - Colorado's outdoor life.
http://www.denverpost.com/2017/06/27/tyler-lydon-prove-right-fit-with-nuggets/Looking carefully at him, he seems to project to a nice forward off the bench either as a tall SF or stretch-4. If he hustles as much as some say, he could become a fan favorite.

Needs a LOT of work, rebounding, footwork....not sure he'll score enough to outweigh how many points he gives up on the other end. Bench player at best.

Exactly right - a prototypical Denver Nuggets player - obviously the front office intends to out-score their opponents

More I learn about Lydon more I think that drafting him was a smart idea.

Here's some more Lydon press that backs up your observation (and I agree with you even though it was a puzzling draft IMO):

Without knowing his stats, I though Lydon looked good in his summer league debut game. Good shot. Looks like an NBA player with good recognition skills. Threw two bad passes for turnovers but was otherwise effective.

Seeing him in the SL and those who we could've had I am more than discouraged. Hope Lyles can make this trade look reasonable.

Collins, Adebayo, Anunoby and Swanigan were all available.
No one was going to make a big difference right away, but those guys will all be better and more valuable than this guy when Millsap is done.
I still don't get it.

Before the trade, Mitchell (who just put up 37pts in a game), John Collins (who has 3 double-doubles so far) and a mention have looked much better with higher ceilings than Lydon so far. Lydon's most marketable feature was his shooting ability which has seemingly dried up in his first NBA stint. Has the feel of a bust already or at likened it to selecting 6'11" Efthimios Rentzias C who was neither 6'11" nor a C, appears Lydon isn't close to the 6'10" Gallo-clone as advertised.

What's the status on Lydon? There doesn't seem to be an announcement saying "signed".
